I was reading The Works, and I was thinking about the collage of magazine covers in Chapter 6. I remember this kids' magazine with Fraggle Rock on the cover, and it said, "Win a trip to Fraggle Rock." Does anyone know who won that trip? I envy them so.
Well all I remember is that in the book The Works, in the chronology it says:
1965 - Hey Cinderella! pilot taped
1968 - Hey Cinderella! filmed in Toronto
Confusing, no?
I just thought of some Henson items that are impossible for me to find anywhere :
Youth '68
The Cube
Hey Cinderella! 1965 pilot version
If anyone has these, please let me know.
Mikealan, I ask you: how would you know what Noggin removed unless your copy of #162 is NOT from Noggin? If such is true, I'd really like to see it. That, and your clip tape. Please email me for trading details. I eagerly await your response. :D
Mikealan, I read your posts about what was cut from this episode. If your copy is not from Noggin, I'd really like to see it. Please email me for trading details. I eagerly await your response.
It was amusing how in the early years he showed up while Kermit was giving a speech. In the first episode, he even almost ATE Kermit!
I loved it how Cookie begged for mercy when Kermit threatened to tell Cookie's mommy that Cookie ate Kermit's happy face. That was before Cookie had a...
I can help you guys out. Up And Down happens to be one of my favorite SS songs. Was it ever performed on the show? (In 1969, I mean ... I know it was remade in the 90s, performed by Cookie and Herry)
mikealan, can you please email me so we can talk about tape trading? I haven't seen most of those clips you listed, and I trust you'll want to see what I have.
Speaking of edits, I wholeheartedly dislike the way Fraggle Rock was shown edited on Odyssey. I also dislike the replacement end credits on the 1993 release of The Bells of Fraggle Rock. (That counts as a Muppet special, right?) Fortunately I have a PAL copy with CBC credits intact. :D
I also have a question for mikealan ...
Your posts are quite impressive, and I wonder: is there a chance that you're an avid collector of classic SS like I've become? If you have a trade list and want to work something out, please email me. I'd like to see what you've got. :)
You've come to the right forum. There are plenty of us who'd be willing to help you out with a video trade ... including me. :) But that's a whole other section of the forum.
I hope the same for myself. The UK Fraggle Rocks are a must-have for the hardcore Fraggle fans, I think. Speaking of which, if anyone has copies of RCA/Columbia volumes 5, 9 and 10, please contact me ASAP.
