    I won't be posting anymore...

Well your avatar is really nice and appropriate from this recent "wembling" about staying or going. My answer, post when you feel like it. Many people here pop in and out over the years. A lot of long-time MC members have low post counts and that's okay. You are always welcome. :coy:

Muppets to appear in Disney Channel TV special

First off, the higher quality first promo clip makes Janice sound fantastic! Who's doing her? IMDB (yes they have a page on this) only lists Fozzie, Gonzo, Kermit and Miss Piggy. Kermit does seem off in the promo, but you never can tell from those things. :flirt: Second, as much as I dislike...

Disney greenlights "The Muppet Show" comics

I agree. Maybe they want the style to be a secret? It's not a good strategy either way. I hope the style favors Frith's artwork more than the modern manga stuff we've been seeing in Henson properties.

Muppets to appear in Disney Channel TV special

Animal has always repeated words spoken to him and this seems like the case. I think it's a tiny bit amusing that his collar is thought of as bling as long as they don't go too far down that road. I see nothing wrong with it. Kermit's, "Way to get down with your bad selves!" line from MFS still...

    Muppet All-Time Box Office Rankings

Oh, by the way. The Muppet Movie was the fourth largest grosser for 1979! It was barely beat out for the third slot by some little Coppola film called Apocalypse Now. ;)

    Muppet All-Time Box Office Rankings

:search:For what it's worth I found the listings for theatrical Muppet/Henson film domestic (US) box office grosses. Of course they are not adjusted for inflation or ticket prices. Some kind of surprised me. I still believe a movie's worth comes from the individual viewer, but this is...

Disney greenlights "The Muppet Show" comics

Why would you say that this time? It appears that these issues are ready to go. We have no evidence to the contrary and they're currently pushing it in the most public forum for comics. The one thing that bugs me is the classic literature angle they want to work into things later. I guess...

Muppets to appear in Disney Channel TV special

You're right. How did I miss him? I'm not liking the pig's eyes on the blonde Miss Piggy puppet. Looks like the French Muppets TV version from Puppet Heap.

    Mokey's necklace...

:busy: If I were to make a replica necklace for Mokey- I would go to an art/craft supply store and just buy some silvery double-sided cardboard. I would then cut out my own tab using online pictures for reference. :excited:

    Mokey's necklace...

I'm not sure where to find one. I know Bert collects bottlecaps, but I've never heard of someone collecting these tabs. :(

Muppets to appear in Disney Channel TV special

Oooh. Thank you for posting this promo clip! And Janice talks! :flirt: It's hard to tell, but she sounds pretty groovy. Maybe that means a Scooter somewhere. ;) List of Muppets I saw: Kermit, Pepe, Rowlf, Miss Piggy, Gonzo, Janice, Animal, Dr. Teeth, Zoot, Floyd, Swedish Chef, Bunsen, Beaker...

    Mokey's necklace...

I guess you are too young to have experienced the sharp soda pull-tabs of the 70s and early 80s. :coy: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Beverage_pull_tab.jpg Yes, they did cause cuts and some people even stuffed them inside the can before drinking them erroneously believing that it...

Disney greenlights "The Muppet Show" comics

I don't know of any other comic book plans between the Guy and Brad Gilchrist run of Muppet comics in the 80s and the recent Roger Langridge one that was to be published in Disney Adventures Magazine. I believe this new Muppet Show comic is the same one reported by Muppet Newsflash in January...

Disney greenlights "The Muppet Show" comics

Finally. We have heard of this before, but now it's solid. I hope the characters are well drawn. I liked the other stylistic choice of the artist that was supposed to feature his work in Disney Adventures Magazine, but as a book series I would like something less interpretive closer to the...

    Fozzie Muppet Replica delayed

Thanks for the update Travis! We all appreciate what you do and the spot you are in. I still get a daily thrill waking up to my Gonzo, Kermit and Animal posers greeting me every morning. Sure, Gonzo and Animal took some minor fan finessing, but that's always likely to happen and they truly are...

    The Dark Knight thread.

I am "making it out to be" the best movie of the year and the best Batman movie so far IHMO, but not the "best movie I have ever seen." That's a bit extreme, but it happens on forums. As an added note, I forgot. I have started posting at Rotten Tomatoes recently, but only in response to...

    The Dark Knight thread.

Um...no. :p I haven't posted about Batman anywhere else and gay as I am I still hate parades. It appears that you are more of a fan of Burton movies than Batman movies and that's okay. I like a lot of Tim Burton's work. I don't think his films were bad at all. I like them for...

    MC I Love Jim Henson

Why thank you. It is an old pencil drawing. It's one of the few portfolio pieces I actually like. It isn't perfect, but I feel the spirit of Jim is there. :) A lot of people think of my stuff as Flash or Photoshop, but I prefer pencil. ;)

    The Dark Knight thread.

Oooh. You have an interesting point. I would like to see more of a female factor in the continuing Dark Knight saga. New Pitch: In Arkham Asylum the Joker is locked up (never to physically seen in respect to Ledger) but still pulling some strings in a few brief scenes from the dark shadows...

    The Dark Knight thread.

I'm in agreement with most of this. According to his memoirs and documentaries on the subject, Bob Kane was never completely pleased with the Adam West program or many of the earlier Batman tellings. He seemed to feel that they were poking fun at his creation, but he was pleased with the...
