Hmm. I'm trying to figure out who exactly this "Kermit Amadeus" is? I think Kermit the Frog was chosen as a Supreme skateboard company advertising spokesfrog because he and this Amadeus fellow have the same first name (however it appears Kermit Amadeus is an alias and not a born/given name). It...
Wow, what an interesting bit of interviewing. The representative at the Sony CGI department must have felt like a jerk once he found out who Brian Froud is. I am glad to see the film is still on track and with the man who's drawings and creativity inspired Jim Henson to make the first movie. :scary:
I did notice the reference, but forgot about it. I wonder what Jim Henson would have felt about Hellboy. I think there are a lot of areas of the film, characters and mythology he would like. The idea of a demon that escaped from a portal from the netherworld during WWII who loves kittens and...
:coy:I love every part of the dense rich world of the Fraggles. The season sets are filling me in on missed episodes and missed characters that are all fantastic! The Doozers always intrigued me as do the Gorgs. I would have liked to see more of their kingdom and "subjects" they seem to think...
Okay, an anonymous member at the www.muppetnewsflash.com forum posted this:
"The Airdate has been pushed 2 weeks... and some of your information is wrong. The Cheetah girls are not in this first special. The Jonas Brothers are. There will be 2 more this year. And not all Principal...
Wow! This is a darn fine ornament, not to mention a heck of a collectible. I wonder if there’s only one voice clip? It doesn’t need any dialog, but the fact that it does makes it one of the top Muppet releases of the year. This is the right track! No Hamilton Village Fozzie Bears with tails, no...
I found this picture of Miss Piggy in her Baked Lays advertisement from 1996 such an unassumingly glamorous look for the Pig that I chose it for Muppet Central’s usual homepage menu image.
(Courtesy of the Muppet Wiki because I can no longer locate my copy.)
You're right. Plushes do have that pillow effect. They also tend to have better likenesses on the smaller versions than the larger ones.
:coy: Even in a web image search for Nanco Fraggles the better Sababa ones usually pop up instead (mislabeled). The Nanco Fraggles have those really wide...
 Dave Goelz Celebration Menu :concern:
In this menu the site's red arches drop in as usual. A banner that reads "Celebrating Dave Goelz" appears above the usual Muppet Central logo. Twinkling glitter sparkles briefly while Dave's characters pop up into the arches along with a modern...
 I could never stand the Manhattan Piggy fro she kept for much of the 80s. I find that some people actually prefer it, but most of those I have met are usually non-fans who merely like the Muppets for kitsch factor. It makes sense they'd like that version.
 I am convinced that they...
Oh, that Wembley was not only a poor representation it was ugly. I had two of their Fraggle items in my hand and - UGLY! Maybe other characters were good, but certainly not the Wembley. Ugh. :smirk:
I will admit their Swedish Chef is cute and some of the dressed up smaller versions of Kermit...
You know, I think Pixar should continue to use Wall-E for animated short subjects. The shorts that promoted the film were priceless. I see him as a Chaplinesque figurehead for Pixar like Luxo Jr.
I just don't find the (non Brad Bird project) Pixar animated humans relatable at all. My idea is mostly based on making out the form, an arm, a leg etc of the humans rather than having them pop up and talk and explain their part in the exposition. The robot portions didn't need that and I don't...
I don't think the Muppets were ever innocent as has been claimed in a few posts. However their humor used to be a little more sly in some areas than the boldness contained in more modern projects.
The Cheeky Muppet Moments thread goes through some of them. :)
 If you decide to undergo "the cleanse" be prepared for several less than comfortable days. I am a relatively healthy guy (a trim vegetarian with a slight corn allergy). I eat smaller meals every few hours, do 30-45 minutes of cardio daily and weight train 60 minutes 4 days a week. It's all...
Yahoo's TV listings had Studio DC listed at the 8-8:30 slot up until this morning. Maybe they're going with the flow of other sources, maybe Disney is sloppy about confirming new programming and they're simply listing what usually goes in that slot, or maybe it has been postponed? Whether or not...
The Sony Metreon houses the multiplex with Imax and 3D theaters (strangely not playing Journey to the Center of the Earth). There's a new cinema-plex across the street in the shopping center. There's also the AMC Van Ness multiplex. All three of these are new additions since my moving here. It...
I don't think that character was necessary in terms of a literal performance. Maybe his face and one actual line could have been saved from view to the end. I just felt that once the humans were brought in it was like Wall-E had encountered a less interesting movie...until he and his robot...
