Everyone I've shown your Muppet work has loved it and immediately connected the classic Warner Brothers style (with your modern and disctinct flare, of course) to it. The Jones & Avery style and humor is an very good fit for the Muppet gang.
I've noticed many fans still give Gonzo the extra...
I do actually have reference for this. The top of Pepe's head (his eye area) comes directly under Kermit's chin or the top of his collar. Then, of course, there's his antennae and hair. If Kermit is 24 inches tall, Pepe comes in between 19-20 inches from head to toe. This is legitimate...
You're right. Nobody remembers the winners and few recall the snubs. It's just rare that I enjoy such a lengthy and hyped film like the Dark Knight. The fact that it has substance too impressed me. Most movies these days aren't very good. They're made to be good enough. Nolan doesn't follow the...
Aw, I feel it should have at least been nominated. The film merits picture, director and screenplay nods as much as (and in some cases more than) the ones listed. I think this is a voter backlash for TDK's popularity with critics and the audience members alike. I can understand that, but I...
These are so beautiful. The style fits (I can even overlook the extra fourth finger on Gonzo here ;)) because it's in a classic Tex Avery/Chuck Jones tradition that suits the Muppets' humor nicely.
I'd love to see what you'd do with the Electric Mayhem - especially Janice. :flirt: I wish I...
Variety reports that WB wants Chipmunk-like success with the Tom & Jerry property. Also there are plans for Yogi Bear and a Jetsons picture helmed by Spy Kids and Sin City director Robert Rodriguez. No word on the Smurfs film that is due out in the next year or so.
Remakes of familiar...
I get where you're going. That sort of change will take time and restructuring. We'd have to clean out Congress first. I also don't believe in seniority of office. If a leader has held his post for a long time and hasn't made a dent it's time for a fresh voice. Term limits are a good thing IMHO...
Amazingly, both parties tend to get money from the same big corporations. I think that's been a lot of the problem. This time out it's a little different. It's not business as usual as it would have been under the other leading Democrat who was funded by hefty loans and the usual special...
Maybe we should just send Fozzie to the closed auto plants in Michigan. I’m certain a lot of folk will just be happy to get some work. :o
(By the way, not a serious comment. Just some levity.)
Don't worry about the $3000 proposal. It really is Chinese (or Chinese-like) labor or nothing and if a factory were to make it in a union controlled situation it is more likely to occur in North America (i.e. Canada, the US or Mexico).
As a native Houstonian with family members close to the Bush family, and as a one time reluctant supporter of his first term (amazingly turning a blind eye to much of his social politics) I have absolutely nothing kind to say about the man or his presidency.
I won't open that can-o-worms...
I like Slumdog's director, but the marketing was force-fed to us here in San Francisco. I don't hold that type of grudge for long and wouldn't be upset if it wins. I will, however, be upset if Button wins when Knight didn't even receive a nomination. Benjamin Button just appears to be a three...

Anime is always a hard sell to me, but there are some distinct projects. It is, of course, an artform with its own layers of depth, but none of that seems to come across in that PGZ pitch on Wiki. I felt a big portion of the show was in its drawing style and character origins. All of that...
That Japanese show appears to drain everything unique and charming about the Powerpuff Girls and replace it with a very generic and Anime feel sorely lacking in substance. There are enough shows like that out there. It just seems like they stamped the name on something entirely different.
Maybe the order of seeing Jim’s fantasy films or the fact of viewing them in the theaters leads me to appreciate them in descending order, but I feel it comes down to aspects of human nature. For some the lack of people in the Dark Crystal kept them at arms-length from the action. For others the...
