Yeah, if Scooter went climbing down a Fraggle hole, or if Gobo had found himself at the Muppet Theater, who knows what kind of fun would have ensued?
Showed Mom the Two-Headed Monster/pencil sketch, and she was laughing about it all afternoon. The last time she saw it was in Anchorage, AK (my...
(in room 7)
Storyteller: All right, everyone, it's a big day tomorrow, so I want everyone all nice and rested tonight.
Nora: But I'm not sleepy...
MN: Oh, trust me, you will be after the flight. I don't sleep well at all on planes...I'd bring a few chamomile tea bags with me, but I've got...
Oooh, a psych major! Congratulations, Carrie, and here's hoping the troubled/bewildered/those who just want to chat may find your couch to be a comfortable one!
That's the one, the one with the conductor reference. I've got to let Mom know about that one; she'll be pleased.
Day after tomorrow, everyone, I'm flying to England for a week with my family, so I'll be out of range. But I promise a full report when I return...and while we're in London, I'm...
(in room 7, occupants prepare to vacate the premises for a week in England, starting afternoon of Monday the 21st)
MN: (singing, tossing clothes into suitcase) He's the hairy-handed gent, who ran amuck in Kent...lately he's been overheard in Mayfair...
Nora: (also singing, rummaging through...

"I don't think I can do this..."
"Ah, shut up and go for it."
That's the message he delivered at the memorial, albeit with much gentler language and tone. And those speeches definitely show that Richard was an excellent public speaker; he's able to discuss all of those aspects of...
Depends on the dorm size, I suppose. Sometimes you can choose your roommates, but for the most part the school tends to choose them for you.
I know, these debates are quite fun, and they keep the thread near the top of the page.
I played one of Richard's speeches last night for Mom. She...
That's right; Gobo's already well-established in his own little group of Fraggles, but he occasionally lets his ego get ahead of him, which results in a creature or calamity being loosed on the Rock, or him getting caught by the Gorgs. But at the end, he's the stronger for having gone through...
That's true, but Gobo's also very earnest and determined in whatever he does, be it work or play. And the Fraggles are always trying to bring order to their own chaos, so they'd see eye to eye with Scooter on that. And you notice that Gobo often seems a little bemused at some of Red and...
Oh, I probably wouldn't call Scooter a brat...sure, he did get on Kermit's case every now and then, but then, who didn't? I saw him more as the kid who wanted to be in on the action but didn't really know how yet...and he grew up, on camera, into the gofer we know and love.
Ah, the...
Yeah, I've seen those before. My favorite is the close-up of Scooter, Gobo and Wembley (with Richard, Jerry and Steve). The three of them do some rather nice harmony...and I guess that's the sort of scene you would see if one of the Fraggle holes ended up in the Muppet Theater.
It's kind of...
MN: (comes in humming "Just One Person")
Nora: Oh, that's right...
Storyteller: Our dear friend Jim shrugged off these mortal coils this day 17 years ago.
Nora: And a year and a half later, Richard joined him.
MN: Sad, but true...but from the sounds of it, I think they're all having the time of...
(chuckle) Come on, Richard, you miss those goof balls, and you know it!
Very clever story, prawncracker, and well done! Jim and the others would approve.
I've only listened to Richard's two speeches, "Simon Smith and his Amazing Dancing Bear," "Wemblin' Fool" and "Just One Person." But...wow.
Those were two beautiful speeches, and when Richard started to speak for the first time, I too felt a little bit of a pleasant chill. Those speeches...
Hmm...I watch the Daily Show very occasionally, but I don't really get the connection. But I just heard from the team captain; she LOVED the quilt photo, and she thanked me for the donation. :)
I'll have to have a listen to Jim's memorial, especially Richard's speeches. I'm just wondering if...
Yeah, I had the same problem with one of my roommates. I'd be at my computer, trying to do homework or watch a movie or listen to music, and my roommate and her buddies would be having a very loud, very personal conversation in the background. (sigh) But yeah, Richard's got a very hard-to-miss...
(cackles fiendishly) Oooh, I can't believe I missed that!
And I'll bet there are at least a million Muppet fans who would love to own a shirt like that.
