Wait a second...I just remembered something. Werent the Muppets in jail at one point?
The more Im letting it sink in, the more I am getting the feeling I did from seeing other films that were good...but had an even greater film within had the editing been different. (One Hour Photo, AI, etc) I...
Im guessing cgi motion capture(mo cap)
I thought 80's robot was funny...I totally remember Tab and New Coke.
I thought the "montage" scene would have been better had they not mentioned it was a montage...something about all the super unrealistic gags took me out of the movie a bit but thats...
VISIONARY. Holy cow. Seriously. 5 minutes? I dont care, this beat the pants off of Toy Story 3(which I felt was un-fun and depressing) In fact, Id say "Small Fry" is one of the best things Toy Story wise since the first film. The look, the feel...my gosh I was laughing so hard yet in awe at the...
Well, today we saw proof positive that Kermit and the gang are truly actors...characters that thanks to the mastered craft of Muppeteers, transcend being mere "puppets". In fact it was hard to remember at times this was suppose to be a "family film" since there were so many deep felt adult drama...
There was a LOT of out of time trancedent moments. Good word their.
Yeah you forget you're watching felt, foam, fur, etc. Kermit...wow. That scene in Paris at night, VERY adult(adult=mature, not sex wise) Kermit has so many poignant "real" moments...to me it is Oscar worthy.
I was so touched...
The editing is definitely a tragic situation...this movie needed to be two hours or more. I can imagine a lot of things that would have made this even an Oscar contender were cut. It packs a greater emotional whallop when these plot points are explored...but sadly, this movie feels like it was...
That Rainbow Connection part...wow. I was in awe, almost in tears.
Also yeah, WHERE WAS RIZZO? I get it, Pepe was too ubiqutious in the zeroes, so they wanted to go back to the 70's and 80's. But no Rizzo?
But yeah this was a HUGE love letter. Sadly I didnt notice as many easter eggs as I would...
My mom and I had to walk several miles in the cold, with groceries none the less, so I can sympathize. (my mom came to visit me, but were both too poor to have a car) I agree in that the film is NOT what I was expecting at all...but for me it was not a letdown but a whole different animal all...
Wow...this was something else. Definitely a love letter, but not what I was expecting. This has very adult, smart writing in a lot of parts, thats for sure. I almost thought I was watching an adult independent drama at times. I really hope this resonates with a lot of people, as this new era will...
Dang! Nice. Do you live in a big metro area?
Aww! Im sorry. My ride fell through, so I just decided to walk(bus wasnt running today) Thanksgiving and Christmas I usually have a family tradition of watching specials and stuff like Muppet Family Christmas, Muppets@Walt Disney World, Muppet...
Today I just wore Frogboy's threadless shirt. I had to walk a few miles in the cold, so couldnt dress to crazy. Funny thing, as I was waiting for the trailers to come on I noticed this really cute college aged girl walk in...wearing the same jamie threadless shirt I was wearing! So of course I...
So this is the moment we've been waiting for 13 years on here, the big Muppet comeback. I distinctly remember so many great chats and threads in the golden early days of Muppet Central in the late 90's dreaming of the big Muppet renaissance. While many of us balked at the notion of Disney owning...
The Muppets also got a big gasp and pop on SNL from the audience when they randomly appeared in late 2004 as well as when Kermit surprised cameo'd with Robert Deniro awhile back. I almost think this new movie, as much as Disney is trying to push it to kids, will be mostly college people and...
Rowlf was my mom's favorite muppet as a child from what she said, and this was the early 1960's! Most people forget Rowlf was the main Muppet next to Kermit for over two decades. Wise beyond his (dog) years(and flappy ears), I loved Rowlf's appearance on one of the Cooking With Cat Cora...
Holy threadcromancing Batman! Also whatever happened to Sarah Yzma? She used to post all the time back in the day
Anyways a Muppet theme park...aww, how that takes me back to 1991 when such notions with Disney were still possible
Fozzie just looks attrocious, and yeah Gonzo looks way off. Otherwise everyone else looks AMAZING...from Kermit, Floyd and Piggy to Rowl(bee-yoo-ti-ful) to Behemoth, etc. No idea why they couldn't use the Fozzie and Gonzo they had been using for the 2008-2009 muppets.com and youtube videos.
Yeah sadly Jim Henson Company's "slated projects announced" are akin to one of those Lemmings video games...some make it across the bridge, but more often than not most don't make it.
All the muppet babies merchandise you can imagine, from toys and figures to plushes and books(with pictures and descriptions)

Nice! Yeah I remember being blown away by it in 1995. I had been a fan of Pixar's work since the late 80's when I first saw some of their shorts on the big screen in 1989...guess it just took a long time to develop a feature length film(love the Pixar Story documentary)
I wish I could claim...
Wait, there's still dial up? As in wreeeee arrrrrr krrrrztttzzzz awwwwwwnnnnnn?
I didn't even think dialup even existed logistically? Coulda swore they phased that out ages ago.
