High-five to that, man! I actually have a story from our last vacation to mention involving that:
So, my parents and I were in New York with a few hours before Wicked started. We decided to go eat at Planet Hollywood, and they were taking requests for songs to play. I ended up requesting...
Yeah, same here. We pretty much had to watch that movie in many of our classes during testing week, the half-days before a holiday break, etc. It got rather boring after the third or so class that we were watching it in, but Katie's scenes were hilarious.
That would be hilarious!
You get an assignment in English in which one of the writing prompts is "If you could be any cartoon character, which one would you be?" and instantly start thinking of Fraggle Rock Animated, Muppet Babies, etc. (I ended up choosing Ferb for my essay, though...XP)
The things you'll learn in textbooks these days...
The Beatles and The Rolling Stones listened to music from Louisiana when working on their own style of music. :D:sing::flirt:

Ooh...I love guessing games! :excited: Is it...Leon "Doctor" Eltonjohn Dontshoot (the Piano Player)?
...Yes, Meredith, that is my final answer *dorky grin*
Couldn't agree more. I absolutely love Disney, but even that isn't enough to get me interested in a superhero movie.
I'll admit that I loved the books when I first read them, although after a while it starts to get old when just about every girl in your grade is debating Team Edward vs. Team...
Gilgamesh was a redhead? :flirt: Suddenly I'm much more interested in that epic, which may indeed be, by today's slang, epic. ;) Either way, I'm a brunette.
Delilah: No, she's not from Hogwarts
Aly: *mumbles* Sadly not...
Delilah: On the first day, she has a song about smiling and happiness and stuff playing while we're working, then says that she had it on because, and I quote, "It's the only smile you'll get in this class".
Aly: And let's not...
Aly: Ah, yes. I forgot Halloween was so soon. School is such a distraction from the fun stuff.
Delilah: And the new reading teacher is scarier than anything we could possibly find in the Halloween section of a party store or costume shop. ;D
Aly: Speaking of costumes, what should we go as...
Aly and Delilah enter Room 2, looking rather worn out
Maggie: So, how was school today?
Aly: *groans* Don't get me started.
Delilah: You had some good things happen so far, though.
Aly: So did you.
Delilah: Yeah, but if that teacher calls me "Debbie" one more time, I'm going to scream. XP
I think I may have figured out the best way to keep yourself from being bored while stuck in traffic. I was listening to an Elton John CD in the car, and after every other line or so, my mom kept making comments about how none of his songs make any sense. (except "Candle in the Wind" for...
This is just a thread idea I came up with for those of us who enjoy the music, movies, TV, etc. that came out before we were born. Feel free to talk about any favorite retro bands/singers, actors, etc. or tell of any experiences that happened to you involving any of this. Please try not to turn...
