I'm not alone!!
You have made my day! I thought I was the only one scared of Sammy The Snake...thank you!! I agree with most of your picks...but Beautiful Day Monster didn't scare me for some reason. Anyway, thank you again, I don't feel so alone anymore!!
You should give their solo albums a listen if you haven't already. They have all matured as well as their music, and still manage to not come across as sleazy.
I'm a Spice-A-Holic
I am soooo glad someone brought this up!!
I absolutely LOVE the Spice Girls!! I own all 3 cd's plus every solo cd the girls have put out since they broke up. Geri has 3 cd's, Mel C has 4, Mel B has 3, Emma has 4 and Victoria has 1. I also own the "SpiceWorld" movie on vhs...
Pam Grier
I didn't even have to think about this one...
Pam Grier!! She STILL looks great!! I've had a thing for her ever since I first saw "Foxy Brown" on VHS when I was 10.
Pam Grier...Pam Grier...OOps, ok I'm done.
I would be here all day listing my collection as I own over 3000 DVD's.
But they fall into some very simple catagories:
1-Muppets (including SS, Henson films like Labyrinth...etc)
2-Professional Wrestling (WWE and alot more)
3-Movies (covering all genres)
4-Classic TV (50's-80's)...
I collect Heads (Pez)
Outside of music and video, I collect Pez Dispenesers. I currently have too many Disney and Star Wars "Heads" to list here, but I do have Ernie, Bert, Cookie, Elmo, Zoe and Big Bird as well as Wonder Woman, Taz and the special Christmas ones (Santa & Mrs. Claus, Reindeer...
So sad to hear about the passing of another talented actor. I have a book and cassette read along from the original Star Wars, whch Browne narrated from 1977...my dad got it for me for my birthday (when I turned 4, LOL!!)
Mr. Browne also appeared on the Planet Of The Apes TV Series in an...
Ahh...The Letter People
It does my heart good to know there are others like me who loved the Letter People...I loved that show!! 10 years ago I taped 4 cassettes worth of episodes and gave them to my then 4 year-old nephew, so he could learn his alphabet and learn to read. It makes me so proud...
I do remember this skit and I also have it on my favorites list on YouTube.
I saw this skit when I was about 10 or 11 years old, so Sandy didn't really freak me out like Sammy did when I was 2 or 3. I really like the banter between Sandy and Ernie...classic!!
I particularly liked the In The Navy bit as well, but even better was when the Pigs sang Macho Man along with Gonzo and some afro-wig sporting chickens from the Victor Borge episode...remember that one?
These days I watch Dog The Bounty Hunter, and Mind of Mencia faithfully as well as WWE Wrestling on Monday nights.
Back in the day I watched anything Muppets and the Sid & Marty Krofft shows on saturday morning as well as WWE (WWF back then).
This just hit me...
Everyone has made some excellent points, be they in favor of cancelling SS or against the notion. But something just occured to me as I was reading everyone's posts...perhaps the answer lies in Joan Ganz Cooney. Cooney along with Jeffery Moss are the only surviving memebers...
Sesame Street revolutionized TV and the way the medium is used to educate children. While I also yearn for the days of old, the show is obviously still popular and relevant. Sure the puppeteers and human actors are getting older, but so are we...the audience. As I am sure most of us here are, I...
My list is as follows and no Muppet music because it's an entity onto itself:
1-KISS Alive
2-Steely Dan Aja
3-David Bowie Aladdin Sane
4-Village People Cruisin'
5-Boz Scaggs The Middle Man
6-Weird Al Yankovic Dare To be Stupid
7-Rocky Original Motion Picture Soundtrack
8-The Best Of...
Good song, I was always a fan of Chrissy & The Alphabeats myself.
I actually just bought the Rock N' Roll DVD from Amazon about a month ago.
Great disc!!
I have been waiting for someone to talk about this film!!
If you notice, the line "Hey cow...I See you Now" is my signature because this is one of my all-time favorite films ever on Sesame Street. The song is so relaxing, and cows are one of my favorite animals of all time.
Thank you...
My favorite animated letter skit would have to be Harry The Horse (who had very long hair). That one STILL cracks me up to this day.
My favorite Muppet letter skits are a toss-up between Bert & Ernie's La La Song (I love when Bert sings "Linoleum!!) and the other is some AM's singing about the...
