Here's to the Frog
No matter what we're talking about here, be it TMS or SS, Kermit has always been my favorite and always will be. I love all the Muppets, but Kermit's still the man, er Frog.
Just thought of Another One
Anybody remember "Nearly Departed"? It ran in the summer of 1987 as a replacement for another show (can't remember which one) and starred Eric Idle.
The premise was a man and his wife are dead, but they "live" in their house as ghosts, though another family has moved...
My all-time favorite would be Harry Belafonte. I love his music and particularly like "Turn The World Around". Harry is such a spiritual man and isn't afraid to express it in his music.
My other faves would have to be The stars of Star Wars, Alice Cooper, John Cleese and Mummenschanz.
I loved a cartoon series in the early 70's called "Barbapapa". It was about a family of blobs that could take on any shape or form and each was a different color. I have yet to come across someone else who has heard of this show.
Ok, I might as well jump in here too:
Planet of the Apes (Original 1968 with Charlton Heston)
Star Wars (All 6)
Meatballs (Bill Murray's first starring role, Hilarious!)
Night Shift (A mellow Henry Winkler and Michael Keaton's screen debut)
Back to the Future (All 3, love Christopher Lloyd)...
Still in touch with my Inner Child
My parents never thought I outgrew Sesame Street or anything else I've held on to all these years (Disney, Sid & Marty Krofft...) because they realized very early on that I've always remained true to what I love.
I've never been one to follow trends or fads...
As I stated in another thread, being half Hispanic, I never missed Carrascolendas. I'm glad to see the show is still remembered.
ChildActress, who were you on the show? I'd love to know and hear more about your time working on such a great show.
In no particular order, my favorites are as follows:
Sesame Street
Land Of The Lost (the original series)
The Muppet Show
Family Guy
Welcome Back, Kotter
The Partridge Family
Dog, The Bounty Hunter
WWE Raw
American Bandstand
