Hi Whatever, I'll explain what I can.
Well, as far as the pay goes, union miminum varies per contract, so minimum salary could be $500 a day, so they are not cheap to hire. But again that varies based on the contract and the project. And if the Puppeteer has an agent to represent them, then...
This is so lame, it doesn't deserve a response, and your attempt to get Kevin involved at perhaps censoring me shows me what an ego-maniac you are.
Sorry dude, you're no longer worth my time... or anybody's.
One thing I noticed was one never saw Elmo pop-up from behind the wall. When he went behind the wall with the tricycle, I believe there was a quick cut to the audience and the next shot Elmo is already up and in position from behind the wall. Same thing at the end of the scene, we never see him...
Hi Kynan, nice to see your name pop up at MC again.
I'll stick to my quote, this was told to me by someone who knows them and this was their feelings at the time (months ago), and not from a personal opinion of mine.
Ah, Kynan, I don't know how to word this without giving anything away...
The truth is no one is being replaced.
Both Disney and Sesame Workshop (and eventually the Jim Henson Co.) realize that at any given time a Muppeteer might be under contract to be working for one of the other companies. And each company has to protect their investment by having a backup...
Well, I think these new guys won't really be cheaper,
because they have to be members of the acting union.
As a matter of fact half of these guys have already
performed with the Muppets in the past and work only union,
just like Steve, Bill and Dave.
Barry Lee, I'm happy you saw those pictures.
Did you notice when you saw those pictures that it was only a few guys right?
As reported only about 8 or 9 made the final try out.
Not the "Army" of fake muppeteers the 'Save the Muppets' web site campaign had been erroneously claiming would...
For those who enjoy Elmo, he is scheduled to appear live
tomorrow (July 4th) on the PBS special 'A Capitol Fourth'
airing from 8 P.M. through 9:30 P.M. (Eastern Time.)
Yep. I was shocked when I heard as well.
Seems Diz when they brought the Muppets did not like the price they heard to re-make Muppets, so Puppetheap won the bidding contract.
Good news is Puppetheap employs former Muppet puppet builders.
To me they look a bit different, maybe they are old puppets.
Waldorf to me looks darker in shade.
And Statler's face looks poorly built or worn.
Still, it's got to be super hard to replicate these.
Remember gang, Disney's Muppets are now built by www.puppetheap.com,
The Jim Henson...
Well, Jane and Heather Henson did participate in the week long Florida workshop, but as far as I heard their involvement was only to educate the selected new Muppeteers on the history of the Henson Company.
As far as I know they have no decision making power anymore since they sold the...
There are some nice pictures of Jim at this Smithsonian site:

I like the full body black and white photo of him performing Kermit. I had never seen that one before. So I made it into a 1024 x 768 wallpaper at...
While it's always cool to see Kermit, I have to agree, I'm tired of seeing Kermit appear on other people's show.
Disney's dollars can do a lot better then that.
The Muppets, (mainly Kermit) seem to have become like those TV-stars of the past that they couldn't find a job and all they ended...
This was posted today on the New York Times website:
"While Jim Henson, the mastermind behind the Muppets, died in 1990 at age 53, his legacy lives on.
Lisa Henson, the co-chief executive (with her brother Brian Henson) of the Jim Henson Company, has paired the family business with 4Kids...
Yep, that's a good one when they play themselves as kids.
I also like "Me and my Pal" (1933) Here's what it's about:
STORY: Bigshot businessman Ollie is to be married this afternoon. Best man Stan arrives at the Hardy home with a thoughtful wedding present: a jigsaw puzzle. The Boys, along...
