Hey Kyle, I don't have the song, but I found this:
"Stevens first nonsense song, "Chickie Chickie Wah Wah", was written in 1958"
Here's the link: http://www.oldies.com/artist-view/Ray-Stevens.html
Could this be the song that you're looking for? I looked, but couldn't find iton any of his...
Cool...thanks Fozzie Bear! BB was very sweet and kind, as always. And I too loved the Snuffie reference. The kids seemed pretty fascinated by BB. Good to know the Muppets can still cast their spell. :)
Thanks so much for the songs, Ryan! And I love the new avatar! ;)
You wrote me last night right after I hit the hay, so I'm afraid I'll have to send you the song when I get home from work, probably around 5/6 p.m. or so. Hope that is okay!
Thanks again!
Hi - sorry to pester everyone, but.. Count, maybe I'm blind *rubs eyes, disturbed*, but I didn't see info on the specific Hamlet movie used. Would someone mind posting the info again? *dives under a chair to avoid getting tomatoed*
I agree, often the really high-budget movies are pretty lousy anyway. And it doesn't exactly seem in the spirit of JH to break the bank for a movie. Creativity should make up for what is lacking in money.
I really like the version of "Beware of Darkness" on the Concert for Bangladesh he does with Leon Russell. That whole concert was/is AMAZING. I thought Leon Russell's Rolling Stone's cover was pretty great, and so was Billy Preston, and then boom, there's Bob Dylan, on top of all the great...
Out of curiosity, Count, which version of Hamlet was so bad that they lampooned it on MST3000? I'd be curious to see that one, being a Shakespeare fan...
Hey Kyle,
Thanks again for "Everybody's Song." I like the songs I have from that album so much that I'd really like the remaining songs I'm missing from Every Body's Record. Would you mind e-mailing them to me when you get a chance? Definitely take your time.
The songs I need are:
Right...
Another George song that I love is "All Things Must Pass." Though I have to say I prefer the stripped down acoustic demo version on Beatles Anthology 3. Some of that Phil Spector "wall of sound" stuff from the 60s and 70s was a bit much for me.
I agree, I don't see any harm in some international exposure. Maybe it will help the Muppets in the long run. I love the fact that Sesame Street has been incorporated into SO many cultures and countries; it tells us that SS (even if it's not in the same incarnation some of us grew up with and...
Yeah - Star Trek II blowed the socks off of I. (I'm kinda surprised I was higher budget, actually, which goes to show that money is far from everything).
I definitely am still excited about the new movie. The most important thing, when you come down to it, is the storytelling, so let's hope...
I think the Black Eyed Peas are a good example of a "Guilty Pop Pleasures" group. I don't think they are the most talented or profoud musicians by any long shot, but I enjoy listening to their music when I'm in the right mood. I don't find their newer stuff to be that much different from the...
Isn't everybody in the world a Bon Jovi fan, whether closeted or not? ;)
I swear, I see more ethnically diverse groups of people all getting down to Mr. BJ than just about any other rock group. :halo: He's also great for Karaoke parties. :sing:
