I only recently discovered FtB, and my first impressions were relatively favorable. Tho' I have to say (as others have mentioned), that without MC (which I recently joined), I probably would have NEVER heard of FtB.
I must admit that I liked the guy who was doing Statler in the later episodes...
Hmmm... that's a good question. Are you sure that Cookie is supposed to faint tho and not just look around confused, as he does on SS old school? (I only ask because I'm not familiar with any other version of this).
This is extremely cool. Am I right in assuming that this was meant to stay internal? There are a lot of in-jokes about the crew, so I'm guessing it was never shown on TV, right? Or was it?
Anyway, thanks so much for sharing Convincing John.
I doubly approve. :excited: :excited:
David
Awesome - thanks again. I don't mind if it's not tip-top quality as long as it's listenable!
And if anyone else has "Feeling Good/Feeling Bad" or, for that matter any Ernie and Bert songs/bits off of At Home With Ernie and Bert, my e-mail is: dabauckham@yahoo.com
It's so frustrating to me...
I almost feel guilty to keep asking for music, but I was wondering if anyone has a few tracks off of The Sesame Street Fairy Tale Album LP. Namely: "The Brothers Who Always Complained" (Ernie and Bert), "Goldilocks and the Three Bears" (the Count), and "The Princess and the Pea" (Grover).
I'm...
Wow - I wonder why someone posted the whole movie? I guess that's a nice opportunity for people who aren't sure about it to check it out!
Thanks for the info Stix! :halo:
Growing up with Sesame Street, I always liked David (Northern Calloway) and Gordon (Roscoe Orman) the best. Susan (Loretta Lynn) was also awesome. Check out her duet with Roscoe, "Living Hand in Hand" from the Bert and Ernie Sing-Along LP (1975). It could easily have been a contemporary hit, not...
I read somewhere that Grace Slick did the narration for Jazzy Spies. Can anyone verify that information?
Some of the YouTube JS links have been taken down, unfortunately, due to terms of use violation. Not sure exactly how it is that some are up and some are down. :/
I know no one has posted here in a while, but as a new member I wanted to state my support for MirrorMask. Yes, it's a little trippy, but so is Alice in Wonderland, and MANY other classic stories. Please give it a chance!
MM could be viewed as Labyrinth's darker twin. While it's clearly not...
I have "Somebody come and play" from the Platinum Too CD with Big Bird and the Kids. Is this what you're looking for, or is the "Sing! The Songs of Joe Raposo" version different?
One thought about the upcoming movie:
I think that the idea of good and evil being somewhat blurred is very intriguing. Kira and Jen were the undisputed heroes in the first movie, but in this movie, it's not as clear - they're not willing to sacrifice something (i.e. the shard) that is so...
