Steve Whitmire has left the Muppets, Matt Vogel to continue as Kermit

With the issue. Muppets are too ingrained in my life to give up.

Steve Whitmire has left the Muppets, Matt Vogel to continue as Kermit

The NY Times article is the last thing I intent to read. I'm done.

Steve Whitmire has left the Muppets, Matt Vogel to continue as Kermit

I don't know if I want to watch that. I'm getting to the point where I don't really want to hear much more of this. Not in a "sticking my head in the ground ala an ostritich / ignore the problem and it'll go away" type of way, just it's too much of an emotional rollercoaster of incomplete...

Steve Whitmire has left the Muppets, Matt Vogel to continue as Kermit

As Jim's DAUGHTER and part of running her father's company (which, ya' know, Steve was initially doing Kermit for), I think she is certainly entitled to an opinion of Steve and the legacy of her father's signature character and legacy. She also has the right to say that Steve may have been...

Video: Muppet Thought of the Week

These are the video equivalent of tweets. I don't know why you'd think they'd be close to something worth going "goo-goo banana pants" over.

Steve Whitmire has left the Muppets, Matt Vogel to continue as Kermit

[VIDEO OF AGT with ARTIE AS KERMIT] "It's official, Artie Esposito is now Kermit." This could very well be a one-time thing. Let's not jump to conclusions.

Steve Whitmire has left the Muppets, Matt Vogel to continue as Kermit

Nah, that's dumb. They need to stick to doing innocuous, 11 second videos each week. [/sarcasm]

Sesame Street Season 47 Episode 4728 - Bert and Ernie Make a Movie

Family gets in the way of Muppets every time.

I kinda side with Drtooth on the idea of "Cheapest"; there's no way they could sustain that joke for 90 minutes. An hour-long TV special / movie, maybe. Jim and gang might have been able to pull it off, who knows, but the basic premise can only go so far.

Sesame Street Season 47 Episode 4728 - Bert and Ernie Make a Movie

Even though E&B's presence has diminished, when they do get the spotlight, they get a lot of it. Not only with the street story and new open and closings, but the return of "Bert and Ernie's Great Adventures," an unaired one even! The animation in that storytelling 'toon was very good. But the...

Steve Whitmire has left the Muppets, Matt Vogel to continue as Kermit

They've been coming out every Monday, so it's most likely to turn up then. I can already expect people getting mad over an 11 second sample of Matt's Kermit.

He's much more tolerable in writing.

Disney is a multi-billion dollar corporation. How much can a plane ticket cost for them every once and awhile?

I believe they still provide archival costume outfits and puppets, but I think that's as far as it goes.

I'd like to think that it's Steve, but fans 'round these parts are not the most sound people sometimes (no offense).

It's the first one; otherwise, there's no joke.

Steve Whitmire has left the Muppets, Matt Vogel to continue as Kermit

Huh. I guess the rumors were true. I really wonder why Steve is out; I don't think it can be at his own accord. I wish Matt the best of luck and I hope we can all adjust. Something of note, Steve took over Kermit at 31, Matt is doing it at 47. Who knows how long this could last. And how this...

The Nostalgia Critic Thread Lives Again!

Yeah, I'm not into the whole "sketch" thing they do now. Honestly, I would much rather hear him just vlog about things, without the persona or character or anything. Also, I miss Bum Reviews.
