Quaint, to say the least. Peter was great as the ball and the song was pretty catchy. Nice to see Herry run by and Ernie in Hooper's. Remember Ernie?
I expected them to use that SG bit, but I didn't expect to see that EW.
I used to listen to the MuppetCast regularly. 11PC I don't even remember hearing about until not long ago and even so, I don't listen to that.
I could go on about the MuppetCast, but I'll summarize: I'm sure Steve is a super-nice guy and all, but as a host, he's boring and often uninformed. JD...
I frankly don't like either of them.
Steve's intention seemed in the right place, though why he thought they'd actually put out a statement about their departure beforehand was completely misguided. Had they actually retired properly, they would've gotten much more positive feedback he had...
I think we've been spoiled by cartoons lately that have ongoing plots and such instead of stand-alone episodes. You get involved in the arc and want to know what I happens next. I don't know what the creators considered when planning things out, but for me it's like, "I want to see what happens...
They went with Chris to give the cartoons a little more of an old-school sound.
And I watched a bit of the Roadsters and had no idea that wasn't Tony doing Donald until I looked it up. DuckTales is no doubt a factor.
I remember being introduced to this back in like 2013. I was getting very antsy/mad with how long season 3 was taking, especially now that they moved it to some random video service.
I just want closure on Chris and Beth.
You are correct. You can read it on the Wiki, but they had shot a version of the segment with a different intro that didn't test well: some imaginary monsters invade the street and Ernie's room, scaring him. So, they re-shot enough to sort of work around it.
I can't confirm it, but I'm almost...
Or The Electric Company. Or 3-2-1 Contact. Or Square One TV. Or Ghostwriter. Or Dragon Tales. Or Sagwa.
All just trying to recapture lightning in a bottle.
Here's how I see "classic" sort of: if you base it on that 2008 labeling, everything after season 24 was "new." However, that's been almost nine years ago. Does that cut-off stay where it is? Probably not. In 2008, 1993 was 15 years back. Now, it's 24. If that's how they're going to define...
It's not a hold over. As I've said, they're still gonna re-run Murray stuff even though Joey is gone and they've said they'll continue using the older EW segments as well as the new ones.
There wasn't really much of a story to this one, but it was quaint. The gag with the pineapple was probably...
They're still doing more shorts, as far as I know (I'm pretty sure they're doing a half-hour Halloween special like the "Duck the Halls" one).
Plus, these are airing on two different channels, right? Not much interference.
I've kinda lost interest in the Mindset. Fine idea for a site and they've done some great stuff, but ToughPigs is much more readable because they have an attitude that makes their stuff far more entertaining to read, even after more than a decade and being written by the same few people.
