Oh yes, I agree 100%.
Btw, that explains a lot why BBSDCO sounds so...different from other shows. I kinda see why it wasn't a very favorable show behind the scenes(though I liked 'Telephone Talk' & 'Loud and Soft', haha)
One of the FEW shows that has Snuffy in it...and no chance of...
*Gagh!*
Oscarfan beat me to the punch! Haha I was just about to post a thread about this too.:D
But anyways,
I'm soooo hyped about this season! The parodys look really funny. I'm sooooo looking forward to "D-Dance" the most. Gosh, I'm starting to get goosebumps again, lol.
:batty:
I would like to say sometime in the 80's, since she was featured with the core muppets (Big Bird, Cookie, Grover, Bert, Ernie, Oscar, Count, and an early Elmo) in some promotional stuff like SSL pictures.
However, she really came into the spotlight sometime in the early 90's.
Awsome!;)
And the 1-2-3...Imagine! theme song has to be the best theme song of any show, that & LBF & WIGU. Who did their songs back then? Lol they did a good job.
Yeah it's like a homage to the original.:)
So is Baby Bear an understudy now or is Zoe an understudy? Or is that if Zoe's performer has to fill in, then Prairie Dawn's performer does Zoe for the scenes with Abby & Cookie Monster(based on pics)?
As much as it pains me to say it...I agree. Yes, I sat though those 15 minutes of EW, I cried whenever I wanted an 'Elmo' tape (or any SS tape for that matter), I wanted 'Elmo' toys. Going back to my childhood days, I too was under the 'Elmo' spell. BUT, as I've stated many times, Big Bird has...
Did anyone see the VMA's this past Sunday? I found it quite enjoyable on some parts. The highlights of the night were the MJ tribute at the begining of the show (including Madonna's speech) & at the very end when the This Is It trailer premired.
Here it is for anyone who missed:
This Is It...
Lol when I saw this earlier while lurking the forums I could not stop laughing. The funny thing is too, I don't really care too much for that Big Bird head either, but it was the closet BB icon pic I could find for now! I will change it at some point since it "scares" you BEAR. Lol.
Lol.
I caught the last 25 minutes of the special. Loved Grover's bits & Elmo was pretty..."sweet" in it too. I like it when muppets are seen with there families for some reason. This special was a very nice way to address the economic issues going on today in America. And agree with Drtooth, I liked...
Okay, lets say when you first started watching SS or whatever, back when you still had no common sense, did you ever wonder why most of the muppets (besides Big Bird, Snuffy, Barkley, etc.), that their upper body was only shown & not their full body? I remember repeadedly asking my mom this...
Overall I thought the tribute performance was pretty good. Highlights were the Oscar, Elmo, & Gordon bits throughout the show, & Cookie Monster eating the Daytime Emmy in the end! Sandra Oh's (sp?) opening in the begining was wonderful, espicially the part talking about Caroll Spinney. Speaking...
*Ahem*...just had to chime in & add my two cents, lol.:D
But honestly, I have really outgrown all of my childhood fads except SS & Muppets. And it's not like I watch it for the educational purposes, I like it for the pure entertainment (if SS still has any will all that structured stuff, but...
Yeah. I think the thing I'll miss the most though out of his characters is Frank's Bert voice. Though Eric has been doing a good job, you can't compete with Frank's. The recent voices of :super: & :insatiable: have been fantastic though.
