Welcome, Scooter!
Always nice to meet the new kid on the block.
What's your favorite Muppet series? I mean, out of Sesame Street, The Muppet Show, Fraggle Rock, Bear in the Big Blue House, Muppets Tonight (ETC).
Mine is a toss-up between Sesame Street and The Muppet Show.
It all...
Congrats on the new job Byron---we can sleep easier knowing you won't be in the area anytime soon now that you're a part of the semi-respectable employed community.

I'm sure she'll be worth the wait, as the first piece of Janice merchandise (besides those panties) available...and I'm excited about her being in wave 5...I just fret sometimes about the American (and other) public and their buying ficklenessality. I'm hoping all the way through wave 10...
Has Janice been bumped? Rully?
Do we know which wave she's been bumped to?
All's I know is, if I get a complete Electric Mayhem except for Janice, I'm gonna FREEEEEEZEEEEEAK!
Please tell me this is unsubstantiated internet rumor, and I can go back to sleep.

"It's all about the details, baby!"
These are amazing...MAN my boy better not be in a hurry to get to college...of course, he's only three months old, but still.
What I love about these are the details:
Rowlf: the texturing variations and positions of his hands--his hands aren't QUITE...
Excellent choices, everyone--if Phil's line were produced, I would buy every last one of them. That's an excellent order and choice of characters; I would probably bump Sam up a few notches (depending on what his full body sculpt looks like) and possibly bump Scooter down. Although a lot of...
Hey Ken,
I suppose this is a rully bad time to ask this, right after moving and right before the San Diego Con, but has the ToyFare drawing happened yet?
That's it.
Except I'm currently writing a rock opera that takes place in Palisades Offices, and some Micronauts, Muppets...
About the possible over-saturation of Beakers--
As far as I know, the Mega-Beaker will only be the SECOND Beaker in Muppet Merchandising History that will be available to the mass market. All of the others mentioned have been available outside the US (Igel), only order-able through the...
Aight, I bow to your superior wisdom...I had just seen something on the making of SD and the Cyber Chase, and it mentioned that the Velma lady there had been the same actress voicing Velma from the beginning...guess that was wrong. I know everyone and their dog has voiced Daphne, but didn't...
Michelle Pfeiffer and John Goodman were both on "Muppets Tonight" and were both also guest voices on "The Simpsons"....I'm SURE there are more than just these four...
Quinnnnn nnnnnnnnnn
On a sidenote, but still about FOL,
Mindy Cohen (Cohn?), who played Natalie, is now the voice of Velma in the new Scooby-Doo series being shot (well, drawn...) for Cartoon Network and WB. Which is fine--I think it's kinda sad because Velma and Fred were the only two who had the same voices...
I personally think this is a great idea for the South Africa production of Sesame Street---in a nation where almost 30% of the women have contracted HIV, there are millions of children born with HIV who have to live with that, and millions of OTHER children who will be their friends or enemies...
My Number One Favorite is of course Electric Mayhem--the only band mentioned that's been important enough to become part of the "family" of whatever show they're featured on...everyone else has been independent, bit players that don't get involved in the stories/sagas of the shows. I'd say the...
I remember I wanted Blair's bookends....even though I was in love with Jo...girls with ponytails, there's something about them...
I just called my son "Tootie" yesterday, but it's not because of his pigtails or roller skates...it's because he WAS Tootie. Darn Formula.
Byron, remind me...
Of the post-Muppet Show Muppets, the only ones I consider to have wormed their way into the "Muppet Family" are:
Bean Bunny
Clifford
Pepe
Johnny Fiama
Sal
(and Bobo and Phil Van Neuter, who I don't like....sorry everyone)
...everyone else seems to be one-hit wonders, who will fade...
I got my Beaker/Muppet Labs Playset today--Toys R Us in Sugarhouse/Salt Lake City, Utah.
Beaker is PERFECT, and the playset is awesome---very much worth the 22.99 I spent for it, even though we're freaking POOR! I love the paint job on the playset--very industrial, a little dark, but it...
Although I enjoy all of the ideas that Palisades has come up with so far, I like the idea of versions we've actually seen on screen more than say, Invisible Beaker. I don't know what I'm saying. The ones I'd be most excited about:
Tux Versions of the Main Muppets
Hula Piggy
Vacation...
So Melissa and I were playing with our Perfectly Round-Headed Boy and talking about the things we miss the most about the "New" Sesame Street...or things we enjoyed about the show when we were pups that aren't there anymore...here are some of mine:
1) The Twiddlebugs--these were wonderful...
I'm still trying to figure out how to JOIN the club, but haven't been able to find the right single message in the 114 pages of posts in the "Ask Ken" message to join....and I wanna see my Rowlfie! And join the club, for that matter....any info?
Quinnnnnnn
For the record Ken,
My favorite Muppet Movie is ALSO "The Great Muppet Caper." Mostly because the Pig is gooood lookin' in it. But it's also funnier than most of the others, and isn't a retread of the original flick, like Muppets Take Manhattan is. Anyhoo.
That's it.
I assume Matleo...
