My official "within the rules" answer:
Marvin Suggs w/Muppaphone
Mahna Mahna w/ 2 Snowths
My unofficial "ticking Warrick off by breaking the rules" answer:
I would LOVE to see Palisades do:
a GIANT Big Bird w/nest, mailbox, backdrop, etc...
a GIANT Mr. Snuffleupagus w/assorted...
That set sounds like it's SO much better than MY !@#$!% kitchen....
Of course it IS for a professional chef, designed by a former kitchen designer....
I wish I could shrink down to Chef's size so I could make my own meals there.
Can't wait to see it!
Quinnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
Well, BYYYYYron....
Since *YOU* would probably be going solo, technically there'd be a seat open for Kermit--
And Janice and Mokey DOESN'T mean you'd be "going trio."
I would invite Kermit just because we have a problem with Mosquitos and Box Elder Bugs this summer...he'd be cheap...
Ken,
Are you working today? Yuck! I thought toy people got to play all the time.
I'll try to remind you Tuesday about the ToyFare Drawing.
BTW, I'm male. More "Mighty Quinn" than "Doctor Quinn." As recipient of an androgynous name, I've made up for it by being exceedingly hairy and...
Here's the scenario:
There will be Three More Muppet Movies. Ever. That's it. No more, no less. And YOU, you lucky sonofagun, get to be the one who decides what they are.
What would they be? Who would be the leads? Would you finally showcase some obscure Muppet? Give an old...
Hi Ken--a few questions which have gone unanswered....
1) What's up with the ToyFare drawing--any idea?
2) I think that's my only real question that can't be answered by careful reading.
3) At the height of your e-mail being down, I sent a too-wordy e-mail that involved much thanks...
....interesting.....
I wonder if the new "compilation" will have anything new on it that we don't already have on CD a few times...it would be nice if it had a few Electric Mayhem numbers on it, but that may be wishful thinking if they're just doing one CD. Good to know there's something in...
My wife Melissa and I were saying that the "CHA-CHUNG" of Law and Order is probably going to be Miles' best in utero and childhood memory---on some days, we've watched it FOUR times a day. Not a fan of the newest one, "Crime and Punishment," but the others are pure gold.
Suuuure, it would be...
This is an attempt to get off of the action figures subject for a minute...
Here's the scenario:
You and your significant other are hosting a dinner party, and you can invite eight Muppets--from any series or setting (i.e. Muppet Show, Sesame Street, Fraggle Rock, etc...). Which eight...
Yeah, I'm planning something similar to this, but won't start working on it for at least a year (when I have enough Muppets to fill it up) that will have at least twenty (hopefully more) arches--that will be a regular wall display shelf that looks like the opening of the Muppet show...I may have...
Personally, I think most buyers of these figures DON'T know there's another Gonzo in the works for later on, and they assume this will be THE Gonzo for the lineup, so they'll be buying him--also, if you consider he's been one of the most visible Muppets for the last decade or so, I really don't...
Hey Ken:
RE: Large Scale Muppets....I think that'd be pushing it for the mainstream collectors, and you'd only get the real die-hards (like us) to buy them...there are plenty o' people who would shell out eight bucks multiple times who wouldn't pony up twenty for some bigger toys that they...
That's WUNDERBAR, Artie---I love the metallic look the paint has to it--makes it look just like the glittery-sequined look of the movie costumes!
Hmmmm....Now I'm considering butchering some of my OWN Muppets....
Very impressive.
Quinnnnnnnnnnnnn
Okay, so for the next year or so I'm at a total dead-end job (one of three) that I despise; there are a few benefits (like insurance), but I figure that if it gets me done with school forever, then it'll all be worth it.
Anyway, one of my three dead-end jobs is as a reservation agent for a...
The last doctor I went to cut out my tail in a series of painful operations that lasted about 8 weeks....
There's no way I'm going to a "doctor" again anytime soon!
Quinnnnnnnnnnnn
Tail-less since 2001
The Celebrity WOS figures are MAJOR peg-warmers here--at least the most recent 2--Lionel Hutz and (what was Albert Brooks' character's name?) I picked up Mr. Hutz, but the other guy was annoying on the show, and possibly the most un-interesting toy I've ever seen. And I've seen a lot of toys...
The ones that scared me the most:
1) Any time Ernie, Kermit, etc would draw IN THE AIR with their finger would really freak me out.
2) Ernie pulling off Bert's nose--dismemberment is scary, okay?
3) Lower Case "n" Standing on a Hill....just the loneliness of it all was sad.
That's...
Well, if anything can change the world, Sesame Street can--but even the Muppets have a hard time going up against a 3000-year old conflict. Our racism and even Irelands schism is small potatoes compared to what's going down in "The Holy Land."
Teach the children well.
The first...
I'm also a customizer--I did over 50 5" scale JLA figures (including Titans, Villains, etc) and I've done some Simpsons, some Star Wars, and I've customized a lot of Star Wars LEGO (a LOT--over 100 of those) and 641 Fisher Price Little People...
So I've been considering some Muppet Customs...
