I concur. I honestly HONESTLY don't know where the idea came from that Anime was so superior to Western Animation. There are definitely cool designs there, and sometimes I like the very stylized way they draw characters...but the animation itself? Muh. Having a drawn character holding still...
...one more unrelated thing...
Does EVERYTHING have to have *fart* jokes in them? I mean, I love a good ripper as much as anyone else, but part of the thrill of that brand of second-grade humor was that it was forbidden... I think it's great and refreshing to squeak one out once in a while...
Yeah,
We've recently discovered that Very Small Children and movie theatres don't mix either...and that my sister and her husband make for very convenient babysitters.
I understand the cultural shift (dare I say paradigm?) in the way we view movies...I think I just have these sweet...
There may not be many here that read these posts that are old enough to remember this, but remember when they'd re-release the Classics in the Theatres? Every 7 years or so they'd re-release them, so that children would have the chance to see them in the theatres; this is before the VHS...
No.
But I've never seen it. And now it's too late.
And Jamie,
I think there ARE some years where they should just nominate 2 or 3 or 0 films for Best Picture, and say, "ya know....sorry. None of these were good enough." And then other years they can give out more than one.
I...
I saw my first Weezer shirt on a human (not in the store) yesterday...it was just the Kermit one, but I was happy to see someone wearing it. And then I'm sure she thought I was staring at her chest, which technically I was....but just to admire the frog.
She was flattered either way...
That seems pretty standard pricing for Applause's stuffed animals--especially if you're buying it at a Hallmark/Gift Shop kinda place. So I guess it all comes down to how much you want Grungetta....
:D

I blame parents who are undiscerning enough to buy any cr*p that has the Disney name slapped on it.
It offends me.
And does Disney REALLY need to release five (or more) animated features per year?
Maybe if they'd focus their talent and money on fewer projects, we'd see more quality...
I already posted this in another thread, but it actually fits in better here...
Personally, I don't think there should be an Academy Award for animated films yet. That seems like more of a Blockbuster Movie Award or MTV Movie Award...like "Wettest Kissing Scene" or something like that.
I...
It really MUST have been underpromoted, because I consider myself fairly in the loop in terms of movies, animation, blah blah blah, and I didn't know anything about it.

Hey Doc,
I did the same thing, but it was quite a while before "IAVMMMUCUGMAFAMDSFMMMCC" came out. It was very cool to see them do it, even down to Robin as the Green Fairy and all of the penguins, can-can dancers, etc. I liked it a lot. Then again, I like "Moulin Rouge" a lot...
Ryan,
I was thinking the same thing...we've seen them for all these other shows/bands/etc. that are MUCH less popular and lower profile than the Muppets (and always have been...); why we haven't seen one about the Muppets/Sesame Street/Jim Henson Productions is beyond me.
I'd love to see...

We have a winnah!!!
This is the best one so far---love the pop-up Robin and Janice.
When you look up "sweet bacon" in the dictionary, you'll find this menu.
Wunderbar!

Hiya Rachel/Royalprincess!
Yeah, I'm JediKermit there, I'm Gonzo here, I'm a bunch of people everywhere. Sometime I should get some uniformity in my various screennames, and just go by "Quinn." That would probably be best. But now I've got too much in too many different places. So for...
...I liked Very Merry more than Muppets From Space, but I don't think I liked it more than MCC and MTI... there were too many slow moments in it that held it back, although the character inclusions sure put it up there....
All have fine moments, but not all are coherent. Kind of like us...
If I had a metal plate in my head, I'D want a magnetic hat too!
Fozzie is the first action figure I've ever wanted to hug. I love him.

It's also interesting that Strangepork's boots are for cloven feet (like a pig)(or a ninja), and Link's are just standard boots... I'm sure we've never seen their actual feet before, but Henson evidently differentiates between the two.
Just interesting.
