Re: So far, QUINNNNNNNNNNNN's the winner...
Nice touch...I don't know that any of us want to be in his dreams....
I won't take that any further.
I think YOU'RE the winner!!!!
It's pretty easy to declare winners when there are only two entries. Maybe we can BOTH win...
My Ode To Byron
Here's my Ode To Byron:
Ode to Byron
A heart of gold
Hidden under a monstrous
Exterior more befitting a Sasquatch…
Tall and lanky,
Frequently skanky
In his thoughts…
This giant has love enough
For Janice, Mokey, Briar Rose
And his friends and family…
He...
I just wanted to mention how much I enjoyed reading this conversation.
It makes me want to watch Beauty and the Beast (effete Euro-Trash) and Spirited Away (elitist Japanimation).
Ahhhh.
Nothing like it.
Quinnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
Cory, you should be happy for that strong of a sentiment about you either way---I mean, if you can have that much supposed virulence directed at you for FOUR YEARS.....
WOW!
My hat's off to you.
But then my hair's messy.
Hat Hair.
Quinnnnnnnnnnnnnn
BTW, I recently (like...
So hard to choose, because all of the classics still have a big place in my heart--Gordon, Susan, Olivia, Mr. Hooper, David, Bob, Linda, Maria and Luis....and even Gina has her moments. And she's easy on the eyes. And then there's Gabi...she's pretty cool.
But I'll pick Maria.
Maria...
Gorgon Heap,
Koozebane Kermit will be a retail exclusive, but they haven't announced which retailer will carry him yet. Ken says he won't be hard to find.
Quinnnnnnnnnnn
I still can't gauge the popularity of the figures since I've only seen them in one store (Series 2) and they sold out instantly. I helped.
I'll have to wait till they hit TRU to really see what you're talking about.
;)
Quinnnnnnnnnnn
Cory,
These are definitely cool. I've got them all. They're swell.
But you're nuts.
I mean that in the nicest possible way.
These cracked-out toys from '78 couldn't compete with what's out there today. And shouldn't try. It's a different animal.
And a different Animal...
Ooooh nice!
I wonder if they're anything like WARHEADS....I love those.
Nice Air Fresheners too....goodness knows I need a new smell.
My car too!
Quinnnnnnnnnnnnn
Muh.
It's just for kicks. My own personal hobby. I don't mind if they shut me down. I've got my own problems in my head to worry about, let alone any kind of online presence.
I've never sold any, I've never made any for anyone else, I just put them up there to share with friends. I've...
Congrats, Steve--
That was an excellent story. It was very moving. So were many of the other entries, and they all reminded me of just how much I love (and miss) Rowlf.
Great work!
Quinnnnnnnnnnnn
Hmmmm. I've never been to Disneyland. I wonder if it's too late for me to go?
I know several people at work, at home, a local DJ, etc. who take their ONLY family trips to Disneyland; up to four times a year. Which isn't a big sacrifice, since it's about twelve hours away, but....MAN, get...
Digit would be very cool...although we haven't seen him in the last decade or so, he'd be a distinctive sculpt and look really different in the line.
And he would definitely be obscure, if that's what we're going for.
I think an "Astoria" action figure would be pretty funny, but then...
:(
*sigh*
I really should read the Announcements Section more often. I wish this had been mentioned in other sections of the message boards. My own fault.
I'll write my own Ode to Rowlf in my heart.
Quinn
You're very perceptive, Gumby....but I never draw anything OF people that are actually in the room....made that mistake one too many times in high school.
Poor Mr. Gygi.
Quinnnnnnnnnnnnnn
Cory,
I'm no fan of Disney. Trust me on that one. And I think it's great that there's an exchange of styles, taking the best from both worlds to create something that's better/different than what's come before.
And I've seen Metropolis, Akira, and Ghost in the Shell, and enjoyed them...
