Actually I have been dieting all week but this is a special occasion! So what happened was I broke out the pizza and wings last night in pre-celebration anticipating unclematt's 1000 milestone. The pizza today is cold leftover pizza from last night. But the wings are all gone. :p
Hopefully...
Just checked tvshowsondvd.com and they have the picture of the box. Purple packaging. Pretty cool. And very fitting that season one's color was - green. :)
Too bad there is still not going to be any special features. Wonder why so many movies have bonus features but so many tv shows often...
Congratulations and welcome aboard to senior status, unclematt! Time to get to the pizzas and sodas! (or bottled waters for those who don't like to drink soda, like me) :)
One more thing about this skit: Does anyone who remembers it well know who did the voices of these 2 muppets? No question that Frank Oz did the girl muppet. And it sounded like Jim Henson did Maurice. If so, yet another Henson and Oz skit!
That's right. Posting a bunch of one word or one sentence posts solely for the sake of reaching high post milestones would be pretty silly and meaningless. But posting for the content itself, whether short or long, and then reaching a milestone post number (esp. the thousandth where it gives the...
:) I'm not surprised you recall that one. It seems like one that would be pretty memorable.
How about an animated one where two guys are standing in front of each other yelling. One guy says, "You will!" The other says, "I won't!". They keep shouting this back and forth. Finally the other...
Phildelphi is the place to be! Another perfectly beautiful day (77F,25C) and they're still forecasting 70's through at least the next 7 days. I'd have to take a week's vacation in Philadelphia with that kind of weather if I didn't live here already! :D
I'm very sorry to hear that. And I think he said in a recent thread that it was just last month he was diagnosed with lung cancer. Wow.
Lord, please give comfort and strength to his son and family. I ask in the name of Jesus, amen
Woohoo! Happy 40th Green Acres! For those of you who haven't ever seen the show and have TVland, get your vcrs ready!
And now season 3 is available for pre-ordering at a 30% discount at Amazon (due out December 6th). Wow, now I've got "The Jeffersons season 4" , "Green Acres season 3", and...
Yeah that's where I emailed them from too, PiLfan. And be encouraged, Sesame Mike. Might just be a matter of time before it is a reality and won't need to fantasize. After all, TEC is a reality on dvd in February. :)
*One happy old codger!*
That is indeed encouraging, Gelfing Waldo and chpoof. At least Sesame Workshop is giving it consideration. Slowly but surely.... :)
Edit: Oh and I emailed them, too, expressing my desire for classic SS on dvd. I'll let you know if I get any feedback that differs from that already mentioned...
I was 8-6 for week 3 and 25-21 overall. Boy did Denver look good last night.
Here's my picks for week 4:
SUNDAY, OCT. 2nd
Buffalo at New Orleans (in San Antonio,Texas) X
Denver at Jacksonville X
Detroit at Tampa Bay X
Houston at Cincinnati X
X Indianapolis at Tennessee...
That may be the case. A while ago I posted that IMDB lists the number painter segments as 1969-1974. This was in the Paul Benedict thread. Mikebennidict also pointed out about the SS unpaved and 1972. And he also thinks the IMDB info could be in error:
It's a 12 week diet of five 84 calorie a day shakes for a total of just 420 daily calories. It's for people needing to lose a significant amount of weight. I was 264 lbs. at the outset and was 183 lbs. (ideal) after the 12 weeks. One really heavy guy lost 17 pounds the first week!
Remember the "and" sandwich? This was a wild one. Jim Boyd is a worker at a deli and Rita Moreno comes in as a customer and orders an "and" sandwich. He holds it up and it is huge. She asks him to go through all the ingredients in it, so he lists a humongous amount of things. (,,,,,AND onions...
That is so true. That's one thing that made sticking to the Optifast diet I did in 1988 for 3 months so doable. (Oprah Winfrey also did this diet at the same time). In this diet you only drink 5 nutritional shakes a day. It seemed like it would be an impossible diet to stick to, but it really...
