And about 1980 or 1981 is as far back as I've seen them show Mr. Rogers episodes. I would love it if they decide to run the shows from the 70's that I watched as a child.
Sure do remember this one! And Sesame Mike did a thread on this and described the whole segment very impressively. And he also did an "update" for if the sketch were done today. Check it out
Fascinating! Thanks. :)
And the guy in the "There once was a hand" segment was Skip Hannant from The Electric Company.
Edit: The narrator, I mean. Not sure who the hands belonged to. :)
That's neat you bring this one up, Rosewood. I was just thinking about this one a few weeks ago. But I couldn't think of what to search for or what the Y creature was called! I never could tell that they were saying "yellow yahoo". :) I recall it pretty well. "What do you think your mother...
Was just thinking of this ball segment and going through various threads and posts about it. Truly a SS classic. I really loved every time this came on. The beginning parts (prior to when the voice comes in to say, "1,2,3") was my favorite, though the entire sketch is good. Just love that music...
Ho ho man!!! That was great, Vic! Now this time it was me who was literally ROFL !
I just printed this out and have it by the comp now. :) With that shirt on maybe this was Wizard World Honolulu, though? :p
Remember one where a character of some sort says something like, "Hurry! Hurry! Hurry! Step right up and see where t words are the word of the day. Big ones and small ones. Fast ones and tall ones." Then a brief pause. Then he says, "And today's word is..." And another character says...
Oh yeah, it was a cute one. One of them said, "oops" part way through. Then at the end there was a delay before the tenth one came. Then they all shouted "Ten!". I thought those were pretty neat being inside each other. There were various other toys and items I would see on SS that I wished I...
Yes it does. What I'm wondering is if a hyper link can be used.
So, for example, instead of saying, "Check out this site: http://forum.muppetcentral.com "
can say, "Click here for a cool site."
May I ask a question about the hyperlink, Vic? Just wondering if you know if the hyperlink feature can be used from emails. I have AOL, Yahoo, and MSN Hotmail email accounts and would like to be able to use the hyperlink whenever sending my family a link from a site I'd like them to see. But I...
Well I did post a picture of myself in Vic Romano's "Show me your world" thread. But I guess you're right, most people will probably still get the impression that I'm typing from a rocking chair and listening to muppet central radio with a hearing aid, with an avatar like this! kee hee hee hee hee
And I plan on keeping this one a long time too. It goes with the name perfectly. If I ever do change it, it would probably just be to a different Fred Ziffel picture. :)
Yeah thanks for that, Bear. I don't think I've ever seen this one. It comes on at 1pm here (a half hour from now) so I'll tape it and then see. And even if it's not the Big Bird one, I think I'll watch the show anyway. Been a while since I've watched it and ALWAYS a pleasure. Great man.
