Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
I thought about that, but the house he's in (in Leland, Mississippi) has painted green walls. It'd look like you could see right through his eyes to the wall if I did that. It reminds me of that Secrets of the Muppets special he did with Jo-Jo the Dog. Jim talks about bluescreen techniques...
Hi. I'm lookin' for pictures of the Muppet Penguins that show the penguins "out of context", like in those numbers where they appear in tropical places or in the finale of TMTM. I'd really like to find a "tropical penguins" photo...any ideas on where to look?
Convincing John...
Anyone know what color Jim Henson's eyes were? Blue? Brown? I'm making some drawings of him and I gotta be accurate. Anyone know? The photos I have I can't tell too well.

Hi, everyone. I'm working on my Tick-Tock Sick book (discussed in a previous thread) http://forum.muppetcentral.com/showthread.php?t=9962 and Jim Henson's bed is going to have a carved "J", paying homage to the carved "E" and "B" on Ernie and Bert's beds.
Like I've said before about this...
Hi...sad news, folks.
I had seen different celebrities advertised (a commercial on NBC) to be on Martha Stewart this week, one of whom is Bill Cosby. So I went to www.marthastewart.com to see when he was gonna be on. I was surprised (and frustrated) to find out that SUPER GROVER was on Monday...
Y'know, just for your information, there were a couple things I remember about this float they didn't show in the clip. I remember seeing this parade when it originally aired, and the host said "And riding on top of the float is J...R... Gorg." And I think (but I'm not 100% positive on this)...
Another message from Mr. Radner
I asked my friend if she would ask Mr. Radner "What do you think Gilda would have thought of the statue?" Here is what Mr. Radner had to say:
":excited:!!!"
That's all I can say...
":excited:!!!"

Anyone have a link to a photo of Gonzo where he's got his eyes wide open and he's smiling? I'd preferrably like to find one where he's looking into the camera. I think there was one of him and Dave Goelz in "The Works" like that.
Anyone seen a photo like that? :concern:

Hi, everybody! I have a question.
I'm saving up for a trip to Hawaii (which won't be happening for a loooong time), but anyway:
When I eventually go, I (like always) want to visit places where my favorite celebrities have once been. My number one destination to visit is the mountain that...
There's another new photo if anyone's interested. It's of Gilda's new home, the Gilda's Club Quad Cities. Formerly a bed and breakfast place, this "Clubhouse" (as each GC affiliate is called) is located at 1234 East River Drive in Davenport, Iowa. This is the front of the house. See the red...
"Statler and Waldorf" in a Spiderman Comic book with the cast of Saturday Night Live!
Maybe this should be in the "Collectibles" section...well, you guys make the call.
The following link leads to a rather unusual comic book where the original cast of Saturaday Night Live teams up with...
You're almost there. Just click the icon at the bottom of the screen that says "Show All Pictures" in blue text. The Mighty Favog is the last picture in the bunch.
Here's the direct link...
Ploobis: Oh, what will I do? What will I do?
Scred enters, singing: Ain't no volcano high enough, ain't no tar pit low enough, ain't no mudflats wide enough...
Ploobis: Scred! Scred! I need your help with something.
Scred: Oh, sure, boss. What do you need?
Ploobis: Oh, Peuta wants me to...
Happy Birthday, Joan Ganz Cooney!!!
Happy Birthday, Joan Ganz Cooney!
I hope you have a wonderful day today! We appreciate all the work you have done with Sesame Street and Mr. Henson.
"One Joan Ganz Cooney! (Hi Mom) That is ten! Ten credits and still counting, oh I love it! Ah ah...
I don't know about anyone else, but sometimes when I listen to the radio or see them on TV, certain musicians sound like Muppets! Anyone else notice this? F'rinstance:
"Weird Al" Yankovic's "She Drives Like Crazy" sounds like :)
Although I haven't heard them myself, my brother says that...
Well, it's Michael, really, but I should probably say "Mr. Radner".
Anyway,
A friend of mine emailed the pictures I've been posting to Michael Radner. Here's part of an email I got from her:
He likes the statue! Yaaaaaay!:):D:excited:

I don't know what you have on videotape, but I would suggest that you show her some Muppet stuff that is not really for kids. The Dark Crystal is a good choice. (especially the essence draining scene) If you have them, the Gorch sketches from SNL would do as well. The scripts for them are on...
Hey, 12 viewings of this post already! Anyone seen these new new photos yet? If I'm lucky, the next batch will have a photo of another life-size sculpture of another SNL performer...the Mighty Favog!
Convincing John
Yeah, I just thought I'd give out the links in case people didn't know about that stuff. Just wondered what people's opinions would be. Yesterday was the first I'd heard of it.
