Hi, everybody.
Well, I'm one step closer to showing everyone the Gilda pictures. I have them scanned and saved on my floppy disk and right now they're on my Microsoft Works Word Processor program.
Now, how do I post my pictures to Muppet Central? Importing, maybe? I tried emailing them...
I guess we'll just have to make do with celebrities that already have been made into figures. Some celebrity figures (the 12 inch ones) would be about appropriate in size to the Muppet figures, but there haven't been many made. So far, the only ones I can think of are:
C3PO
Luke Skywalker...
Yeah, you could do that, too. Sometimes just seeing one of your favorite celebrities in the flesh is enough. :) And yeah, if he left his wallet or something else behind I'd certainly give it back! But a muffin...hey, I know! How about option "e." Take a photo of it, put the muffin on the...
Hi, everybody. Any Beatles fans out there? I've been meaning to post this for a while. This is something my sister told me, who is the biggest fan of the Beatles I know. She's studied all of their music (group and solo) and has almost every book written about them.
Anyway, she told me...
Hi, folks. Any Jimi Hendrix fans out there? If there are, I've got something to post regarding Jimi Hendrix and muffins (since muffins are a running gag here)
Well, a couple of years ago, I got a CD of Jimi Hendrix "Experience Hendrix; the Best of Jimi Hendrix". (Great CD!:sing: )
Well, the...
That would've been funny if Gorgon Heap appeared from behind him "Hmmm...that looks delicious!" (yanks toupee off Bruce's head and eats it!)

LOL! I remember that, too! No, it wasn't the same one, though. That one was (I think) from an Australian kid's show. Let's see...Munchie was pretty much a Humpty-Dumpty shape, with really short arms and legs. He was always dressed in a suit that was a lot like Waldorf's. And he wasn't very...
LOL! Actually, I'd forgot about Munchie until this thread popped up. He doesn't scare me now, of course. :p He just creeped me out when I was a kid. I actually wouldn't mind having an action figure of him, if they ever made one. From what I remember, the puppet was pretty cartoony, like one...
Can somebody tape it, please? My channel is SUPPOSED to be showing it right now, but there's some infommercial on instead!!!:mad::boo::grouchy::grouchy:
Convincing John
(Impersonating Grover from a distance) "Hello, everybodeeeeee!" (clomps noisily up from the horizon until his nose is about three inches from the screen)
"THE GILDA'S CLUB EMAILED ME BACK!!!" "Ohhhhhh!" (faints with a crash)
Yes, folks! I heard back from the Gilda's Club just this...
You got to sing at a wedding? Cool! What did you sing?
When singing at wedding receptions, you need just the right kind of music that would send out a good message and done by a professional. That's why if I ever get married, my wedding reception will be all set with my recording of...
Ditz (sp?) the Clown (who got "frozen" in the special)
Luigi (live cat)
Molly (Jesse and Jamie's big sister)
The parents (never seen, but heard)
The second Mew (who appears at the end of the special)
Kermit as Santa Claus...or maybe that should be "Santa Kermit" or maybe "Froggy Claus". :)...
I've seen these figures, but I don't think he was one of them. They had H.R. Pufnstuf, Electra Woman, Sigmund the Sea Monster and Cling and Clang.
No Munchie (whew!)
Convincing John
Are you sure you WANT to see Munchie? That thing was so SPOOKY! I've been trying to find a picture, but with no luck at all. My best guess is that he was a Sid and Marty Krofft puppet. So far, I've only found pics of Barbara, her sisters and the puppet band.
So, in the meantime, just...
But back to the subject...scary Muppet moments...
Yeah, that part from TMM where Piggy beats up the thugs freaked me out, too...those eyes!
But probably the Muppet moment that freaked me out the most as a kid was when Big Mamma ATE Miss Piggy in the Carol Burnett episode of TMS! I was...
Oh, sorry! :o I didn't mean to offend anyone:eek: I'm a big fan of a lot of British bands like the Beatles and Jethro Tull, and the theme for "Alphabet Chats" sounds like something Ian Anderson (the lead for Jethro Tull) or John Lennon would have had a hand in writing. That's what I meant by...
Yes, that guy was called Lord Chatterly (or Mr. Chatterly) and hosted Alphabet Chats. At the beginning of the clips, Jerry and Richard sung the alphabet like this:
(In a "British" sort of tune):
Richard: A B C, D E
Jerry: C D E, F G
Both: H I J K, L M ENNNNNN OH-OH P,
Jerry: Q R S...
That was Shel Silverstein, another wonderful author (who unfortunately is no longer with us):(
Some of my favorite books:
The World of the Dark Crystal (I only have the newer version)
Gilda Radner's "It's Always Something"
Wyrd Sisters by Terry Pratchett (this book is about three...
