Harry Secombe! Ha, that would be amusing. An American release built around the Goon Show. As if anyone in America would have any frickin' idea what the heck that would be. I like the vague British-ness of the original Muppet Shows. I would have killed to see Neil Innes or Vivian Stanshall or...
Yeah, I saw the same offer in the same calendar. Lemme know if that ever turns up in tape trades.
Thanks for digging the Python stuff. Forget what I sent you now, but I consider myself to have pretty much anything important when it comes to Python. =) I think I have a vague memory of this...
I sent you a Henson Hour ep? I don't remember sending anyone anything! Weird. Sure it was me? Probably Sweet Vacation/The Soldier and Death right? I love that ep.
My Beta tapes actually look better than that! The quality of that ep is explained by it being recorded at SLP when I was a kid, on...
All to their opinion. But I must note that the Muppets strip did not "fail" and ran for a long time, longer than the actual Muppets continued to make films (the original ones before Jim's death, which ended with MTM.)
I too hate Nancy and was very surprised when dad took the job. But I was...
Vincent Price's voice tracks were recorded in the late 60s! The film was very different then, not having either The Thief or Tack in it .... it was intended to be a tale of the twisted wiseman Mullah Nasrudin. Williams had always loved Price and enjoyed animating his voice a lot. Although his...
Here is a video file of the deleted tracking shot in the lair of the One-Eye. (There used to be more online, but they're gone now.)

Yes, it's a sad story .... Richard wasn't able to finish The Thief and the Cobbler as he wanted. The...
In the video version from Miramax, the Old Witch character is cut out entirely (probably because she seems drug-addled) ... and the battle march of the One-Eye army, which was the showpiece of the film, is cut down to almost nothing sadly. There was an amazing shot where Zig-Zag first glimpses...
Yeah, this site makes me feel nostalgic. =) I grew up in a very Muppety household watching Muppet tapes on Beta and my vision of who the Muppets were was colored by dad's take on them ... they just remind me of my childhood and I came back here a month ago and hadda post a couple things. It's...
You can get 'em for like 4 bucks on Ebay. I probably will one of these days.
There was a laserdisc of the same edited version of Thief and the Cobbler, that was widescreen. Would love to have that. There's a version that was only released in Australia and South Africa called Princess and the...
I like this series of DVDs because apparently it includes a version of The Thief and the Cobbler by Richard Williams. It's the crappy Miramax edit of course, which cuts all the good parts, and it's probably pan and scan too, but this is the first time this has been on DVD. So, neat.
I wonder who here CAN do the voices ... my father used to do a good Kermit and many other voices ... I've attempted Kermit, but it's more like a bad Ernie.
I try out a lotta voices .... look strange walking around L.A. at night practicing saying "but befoooore we go ..."
*Sheesh*
I am.
Here, this is the best I can do at 2:48 in the morning. =)
This was a fun thing, but tough. I threw out like rilly about 8 drawings. I now know why dad's Janices look different from strip to strip. She's, like, rilly deceptively hard to draw. Fer sher.

This accidentally got posted twice when I was clicking "back" on my browser.
Fer sher.
And this thing won't lemme delete it, but it will lemme edit it.
Rully.
But lemme use this to toss in some non-Janice Muppet strips. Some of his favorites I assume since they're at his site. I...
Heck with Nancy, get a Muppet drawing!
I'd say get a Janice drawing, but I just checked out Byron's site and Janice's design seems to change with every strip even then so I dunno if he'd remember how to do her today! I know he can still do Kermit tho.
I'm actually not surprised you've met...
Hmm ... Just checked out Byron's Janice site and that had lots of the comic Janice! And you're right, it can definitely be improved as it doesn't look quite like the puppet. Though definitely not bad. Definitely brought back weird memories.
Makes me rather want to do my own attempts at the...
