Bumping for some NEW celebrity crushes:
Shania Twain (does she age at ALL?)
Robin Meade (great looks and voice, kinda flirty to me)
Padma Lakshmi (watched the "Hot Ones" interview and immediately fell in love)
Charlize Theron (drop dead gorgeous...she doesn't age either!)
Abigail Spencer...
One of the most incredible jazz drum solos I've ever seen...and I've seen a lot...might be right up there with Buddy Rich's work. This guy is an animal on the drums---
:halo:: ANIMAL! YEAAAAHHHH! BEAT DRUMS! BEAT DRUMS!
:sing:: Down, Animal! Back! Sit!
Not a huge fan of the character Nina, but yeah...Susana "Suki" Lopez is a real cutie for sure. I wouldn't mind spending an afternoon with her...and maybe an evening, too! :flirt::wink:

HAPPY 50TH ANNIVERSARY to Sesame Street! Today my 200TH outline is being uploaded! This one features Big Bird, the Count, Sherlock Hemlock, Guy Smiley, and the whole human cast in a musical celebration of the show's first ten years. Please enjoy this one, and thank you to everyone who has read...
My new favorite song is Joe Jackson's "You Can't Get What You Want (Til You Know What You Want)." And Christopher Cross is also pretty cool, too: "Sailing," "Ride Like the Wind," and "Arthur's Theme" are all very well-written and performed.
Now let's get back to Joe Jackson, shall we? If this...
But that's exactly what the fashionable thing seemed to be back then...remember when Julius Erving (Dr. J), Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, and Michael Jordan were in the NBA? Short shorts were all the rage...thankfully that fashion didn't last too long.
Anyways...back to music! I am listening to...
Right up there with "Billie Jean," "Purple Rain," "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun," "Holiday," "Maneater," and "Pour Some Sugar on Me" in terms of legendary '80s hits. I could go on and on about how many amazing songs came from that decade.
Too bad the hair and clothing weren't like that. You...
Listening to some '70s funk-pop right now: went from Leo Sayer's "You Make Me Feel Like Dancing" to Kool & the Gang's "Jungle Boogie" to this unabashed classic by James Brown: GET UP OFFA DAT THING!!!
P.S. The first three YouTube comments on the JB video are pretty hysterical too.
Season 6: Big Bird's Rhyming Show! This episode contains the debut of "Cookie's Rhyming Song" and features most of Frank Oz's characters from the early days, save for Lefty and Harvey K.

Ah, okay...I don't really know Randy Newman's music very well so I can't speak further on that.
So do I! That riff goes from [music teacher mode activated] the note D to E, F, A, and then G. That also repeats a few more times in "Hot Fun," like at 0:55 - 1:18 and in the chorus too.
I'm thinking that Chris Cerf might have picked up some inspiration for the Alphabeats from this band. Doesn't "Exit" sound a lot like "Hot Fun in the Summertime?" Discuss.............
New episode unearthed: #479 (later aired again as #784)!

Not to mention how Susan was portrayed in the first few seasons (as a rather dated version of a housewife), before she became a nurse and then a mechanic! I think that by season 9, Sesame Street was really in full-on feminist mode with Olivia being introduced a year earlier, and both Maria and...
