That skit also appeared in the season 6 premiere #666. Yep, they certainly didn't waste footage. I remember seeing "The King of Eight" in a season 35 episode, for real!

That's true! I didn't realize that we got Caroll's cameo in episode 596 and then Frank's cameo in episode 581 all within the past month. Seeing Caroll's appearance was pretty funny, but it would be absolutely GOLDEN to see Frank's or the combined one with Richard and Jerry.
Does anyone know...
Here's one that I would REALLY love to see! Episode 1262, now revisited in Tough Pigs' "Sesame Rewind" series!
Sesame Rewind: Hollywood Goes Sesame Street
It would be worth it just to see and hear Jerry Nelson's & Richard Hunt's hilarious performances ("PASTRAMI? I LOVE PASTRAMI!").
It's been almost two days now, and I'm still in shock. Kobe Bryant was 41 years old...he still had more life and work left in him. But his legacy lives on, not just for his incredible NBA career but also his work outside of the NBA (including an Oscar for the short film Dear Basketball)...
I've got the Chiefs winning the Super Bowl by at least 10 points. They aren't going to go easy on the 49ers either...they'll run the ball, throw long TDs, and stack the defense. As much as I have enjoyed watching Jimmy Garoppolo's rise, the San Francisco team doesn't quite compare to the...
Number 216 features Big Bird, Oscar, Biff, Gordon, Buffy, Bob, and Linda! Plus, Cookie Monster visits the library, Ernie gets thirsty at night, and Simon Soundman does the weather forecast.

Here's the ninth outline in the snow-day arc (number 214 overall), featuring Big Bird, Oscar, David, Luis, and Mr. Hooper! Plus, Ernie keeps Bert awake with loud sounds, Sinister Sam searches for a doctor, and Herbert Birdsfoot presents the "ET" word family.

But remember all those sandwich toppings for Oscar? To me it would cost a lot to make a sandwich like that, even if it is only a prop. And how would the "R" machine explode? I don't recall how many times things exploded on SS, but they seemed to be rare occurrences.
Seems logical to me... some songs like "Would You Like to Buy an O" and "C is for Cookie" would translate to the screen much better than, say, "Oscar's B Sandwich" or "The 'R' Machine."
This just makes me realize how watered-down the show seems to be now. I've seen clips of Alan in his first appearances compared to his newer ones, and the difference is really dramatic. The current adults aren't the straight-man, neighborly people like Bob, Maria, and Luis used to be (perhaps...
Here's the eighth outline in the snow-day arc (number 213 overall), featuring Big Bird, Herry, Mumford, Oscar, and all the human cast members! Plus, Kermit and Grover make a snowman, Prairie Dawn presents a flower pageant, and Prince Charming falls for a mixed-up princess.
