Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
I've been heartbroken over Caroll's passing and I decided to write a story about Big Bird in the afterlife, so to speak. A VERY surreal, poignant, and emotionally charged story; and I did cry as I wrote the ending. I must admit that it's not too polished and fleshed-out, but I am very proud of...
Number 204 features Big Bird, Oscar, the Count, the Amazing Mumford, David, Susan, Gordon, and Mr. Hooper! Plus, Herry Monster exercises, Bert helps Ernie increase his self-esteem, and Lena Horne sings the alphabet song!

As a young child, Big Bird and Oscar were two of my closest friends whom I saw every day at 4:00 pm after school. My mom would turn on the TV and I'd watch Sesame Street from the time I was age 3 until age 7. I also frequently watched the films Christmas Eve on Sesame Street, Big Bird in...
Sesame Street: educating viewers about economic competition, supply-and-demand, and business failure since 1970.
Also Sesame Street: essentially telling viewers that "life doesn't treat some people fairly" since 1970.
Well, you can't spell the word "fanatic" without "fan," so....there's that. It really is sad that people spend so much time obsessing over lost media. I mean it's good to have a moderate and controlled interest in it, but when people leak footage like this to the public when it CLEARLY wasn't...
Number 203 features Oscar, Susan, Luis, Mr. Hooper, Herry Monster, and everybody's favorite...Connie the Witch! Plus, Mumford performs a subtraction magic trick and Ernie repairs Bert's TV.

I wonder how they squeezed Jerry Nelson into the original Countmobile to begin with.
I don't think faceless Slimey is too bad either. Just looks like any other worm you'd normally see outdoors. Hope we also get more information on Rhymin' Lyman soon (I assume that Jerry played him).
2 things:
First, anybody know why there were posters labeled with the numbers 2-9 on the garage doors in the arbor? I've always wondered about those. See the picture below.
Second, anyone else think that Don Music might be the most manic-depressive Sesame Street character? Think about how...
The radio station Q104.3 is playing "The Top 1,043 Rock Songs of All Time." So far today I've heard classics by Bob Dylan, the Beatles, Queen, the Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, the Who, Tom Petty, Elton John, the Police, Billy Joel, Rush, and the Allman Brothers Band. No better way...
Number 202 features Harvey Kneeslapper, Cookie Monster, Grover, Big Bird, Oscar, Mr. Hooper, Bob, and Maria! Plus, Ernie ruins Bert's nap, Simon Soundman buys a saw, and a handful of early Spanish-themed segments are shown.

First it was episode 680 where Sam the Robot turns David into a hot dog, and now it's this one where Prince Charming turns into a tree? Geez, season 6 was full of weird ****.
Perhaps the best Sesame ad I've seen in recent years. Eric's performance is brilliant...Oscar is in good hands!
All the art is sold out, but donations can be made to Sesame Workshop. Also the introduction on the homepage is amazing:
"Oscar the Grouch has been collecting trash for 50 years...
Number 201 features Oscar, Big Bird, Biff, Sherlock Hemlock, Susan, and Mr. Hooper! Plus, Ernie leads a marching band and Cookie Monster goes to the carnival.

So I finally watched this special on the PBS website. HOLY M-ERF-ING CRAP. I give it a solid A.
Here's what I didn't really go for:
That arrangement of "People in Your Neighborhood." I love Nile Rogers, but it sounded too choppy and it just didn't flow that well.
Mumford's new performer...
