I knew you watched it! :laugh:

Well, I've heard that a lot of people were scared of the "I" beam.

I cannot lie that the music is like an evil rendition of the Muppet Show theme.
Well, I'm not sure if that is something that would have frightened me as a kid, and to be fair, I'm sure more people remember the "I" segment than the tomato one since it aired a lot more.

I'd like to ask, regarding the letter "I" segment, what's so scary about it?

I honestly don't find anything scary about it. I've seen much creepier segments, notably "Now then... a count of ten".

Maria is a future twitter SJW confirmed.
Just want to know, what does SJW stand for?

I'm glad they were doing that kind of stuff, especially considering just a few years earlier they were doing stuff like this;

It's sort of indescribable, but as I said, it's the music.

Not to mention how Susan was portrayed in the first few seasons (as a rather dated version of a housewife), before she became a nurse and then a mechanic! I think that by season 9, Sesame Street was really in full-on feminist mode with Olivia being introduced a year earlier, and both Maria and Susan cementing their roles and jobs on the show. Linda and Buffy were also seen from time to time, so there was no shortage of female characters (although there were still more male cast members and Muppets). It kind of paved the way for the massive influx of female characters in the Around the Corner era, too...
