Father: Good thinking, Grace. 6. Laptop so we can keep updated on the outside world...who knows how long we may be trapped in doors!, 7. Board games in case we get bored, 8. The sandbox *heads upstairs as water begins infiltrating bunny slippers*
(OOC: I am obviously sleeping...and NOT being...
Father: Bare essentials...Tea and a kettle. Done. Right, let's go then! OH! I almost forgot...*opens the fridge* Oh, hi Jana. *closes the fridge* I can't believe I almost forgot milk for the tea...
(OOC: Its late in Britain, I'm sleeping, but will jump back into the storm tomorrow :D)
Father: But don't let the past 'fog' your judgement, or 'cloud' your common sense! As you can see, its practically a clear day outside...*pulls open curtains to the sound of heavy thunder and lightning* ...um...you were saying?
Father: Phew...for a minute there it seemed you didn't have the extended Moppet family propensity for foods with holes...Bagels, Donuts, Swiss Cheese, Wholemeal Bread...*resumes reading paper* Apparently a storm is coming to Glendale.
Father Moppet: *picking a lump of dirt as shaken off of Goat from cereal bowl and frowning at it* You will find a grapefruit in the fridge, if you are looking for something healthy.
Father: *to Goat* Good morning, young fellow. Perhaps it would help if you stopped thinking of this place as a house and started thinking of it as a home. As they say, Home is where the heart is. Unlike the tent, which invoked the old proverb, the hole is where the hearth is.
Father Moppet: *sitting at the table, reading the paper, still on the phone to Suzan at the office* Have you tried under the plant by the front door? Yes, I do mean, the manufacturing plant next door. *to Lola* Morning. We have cereals in the cupboard, and serials in the magazine rack.
(OOC: Hey, Tutter, you can be anyone. Just pick a name (it can be your real name, or something fun) and a characteristic, (i.e. Super-clean or a Dancer or an IT Specialist or a Chef or always hungry or someone who used to be a giant in a previous life, or a fairy-tale character reborn, or...
Father: *choking on the dust* Be careful, I think some of that is fairy dust and you never know when something's going to-- *Father's tie turns into a snake* AHHHH! What were you saying about Moppet extreme fashion? *throws it off and it turns back into a tie*
Father: *humming* Oh, I've got a lovely pair of hammocks... *end humming* Of course, that's fine, then your room is *dramatic pause* ...up in the attic. *opens door to the attic to sounds of dramatic lightning* That's strange, I didn't even know it was raining...
Pfft...Batman would obviously just get some sort of kryptonite body armor. He's got smarts!
Think of it, Thor's Hammer can smash anything...but not Captain America's shield. Everyone has strengths and weaknesses.
