Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
I agree with you. :) It would be better if the Muppets were brought back little by little, like two times a year, or maybe 3. They could do TV specials or made for video and DVD specials. And it was great seeing them again in that Muppet Party Cruise video game.
Thanks Docnzhoss. :) I think those intros I always see in the movies are so neat and creative.
And I suppose Sam could be one of the poor victims who gets heckled by Waldorf and Statler, and Sam could shush them with no success.
Here's how the skit goes Count.
Manny, a purple muppet with black hair and a mustache (Jim Henson) was trying to help his client. Toothy, a huge set of teeth (Jerry Nelson), who was looking really yucky and grunghy. Manny said he had some beauties outside who could probably help him with...
When you go to the movies, have you seen how sometimes before the movie starts, a celebrity will coach us on movie etiquette? What if the Muppets got a chance to do that? Here's how I'd see it if I went to the movies and the Muppets suddenly appeared.
We see the front of the movie theather...
It was in the Upstairs, Downstairs skit. Grover was running up and down the stairs countless times. And it showed some pictures on the wall. And one of the pictures was Dr. Teeth!
Also, in a SS skit where an agent named Manny was trying to help out his client, a set of teeth named Toothy...
Hey, that does sound funny. :) And most of those Muppets probably need that stuff too!
And as for sleeping, they're usually seen with their faces covering their pillows or sometimes they stick special closed eyelids over their eyes.
When I see characters like Kermit, Beaker, Wembley, Red, Cookie Monster, and other Muppets with huge ping-pong ball eyeballs with no eyelids. It kind of bothers me that they can't blink. Their eyes could lose their moisture and painfully dry up without eyelids.
I love Wembley too. :) He's the kid brother of the group who always wants everyone to like him and doesn't like to take sides. And he says and does such cute things and makes funny faces whenever he acts surprised. And I liked the humming song he made while the Doozers were looking for the...
I guess turning radishes into Doozer Sticks is like turning potatoes into french fries. It gives a natural vegetable a new shape and a zesty new flavor.
Jim was performing Link who sang the line. "You can sail the seven seas!"
Also, does anyone know who did the wooden dragon head on the front of the boat?
Roosevelt's letter said. "Dear Hardhead Henry Harris. Here is here, there is there. You got a hard head under your hair!"
That line made me laugh so much. :D
Thanks for clearing up that it was Dave who was on the roller coaster. That way he could be close to Matt and operate him easily.
I also remember in Muppets Go To Disneyworld, it showed Miss Piggy and Beau riding around in a spinning teacup. And I thought I saw some tops of heads down in...
Does anyone know if any live Muppeteers appeared in the Traveling Matt segments? I thought one time, I saw Steve Whitmire hand Matt a skateboard. And when Matt was on the roller coaster, I thought it looked like Dave Goelz next to him.
