Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
I personally think that two must-haves are Sweetums and Robin. If you look at the seven series planned, I think they're clearly lacking in the list of main characters. They're the only ones who made it further than just one series.
Robin is in all the specials and most of the movies, he's...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ONE OF MY FIRST EVER MUPPET BUDDIEEEES!!! :D
Hope you get LOTS and LOTS of Beatles, drums, Muppets, and chairs (in case Mar steals one)!
I think you have to see them for real to really judge them. This is just the prototype version in which they're all ugly.
I think Fozzie's the ugliest, along with Piggy, followed by Gonzo who looks exactly like this one. Rizzo's too large and his ears are too big. The others are okay - it's...

Hmmm... guess only Super-Grover has Super Speed...
LOL! Happy belated Sup-----erbirthday, Travis!!!
:D
Thanks everybodeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee for yer Birthday Wishes! I mean, how many people get birthday greetings from not only their families, not only their friends in the neighbourhood, but also a whole bunch of great international buddies? :)
One of my best presents was an actual Kermit...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY PAL JACKIEEEEEEEEEE!!!
When I met you in chat about a year ago, I had NO idea that such wonderful, special friends like you existed! You and I are so incredibly alike sometimes... no wonder I am the Vice-Jackie!! LOL!
We've had fun, shared some great moments both in...
In addition to the things I said in the thread, here's some more...
- The McDonalds Dolls with theatre. It was SO much fun collecting it all, and well worth it too!
- A photo of me with Lex Goudsmit. Lex is an actor from the Dutch Sesame Street. He played the grandfather type, and he...
I always see Muppet Central as being a TV series. Like the Muppet Show. You have the first season, and there's Kermit and Fozzie and Rowlf and Piggy... Second season, Hilda and George leave, and Piggy steps up in the spotlight, as well as Gonzo... season 3, Beauregard and Lew Zealand join, et...
It was such a shame that I never got to know ya better, Amy... the closest we came to talking was an email about hospital business. You seemed to be such a nice person. You were always happy and cheerful and wonderfully silly. I'll sure miss seeing you on here.
Best wishes to your family...
Emmy made this for meeeeee!

I also have the one Mike made for me with Dr. Teeth. Still have to look for that one.
My goal is achieved. Not only did I manage to "collect them all" - I also got to buy the big cardboard Promotional Muppet Theatre Display to put the figures in - making me one of the only Muppet fans who has this thing, because these displays either get thrown away or get sold to Happy Meal...
Oh right! Her name was Pamela!! Other monsters that appeared in that skit were Fenwick (tall orange head with two orange horns, living in a paper bag) and Rosemary (purple with yellow horns).
Actually in Dutch translations Dr. Teeth has been known as Dr. Kies (= Doctor Tooth) and Dr. Fietsenrek ("bicycle stand" = Dutch word for a missing tooth)
Yes, and their names are obviously Flip and Sanne or something.
And they have club members like Emmie (the Muffin Member), Jacqueline (Muffin Member and Protector AKA Trash Heap), Bram (the Janice and Mollie lover), Luuk (Penguin Member), Frederik (host of Sesamwereld) and Korrie (Ubermember).
It's just like Stuntman Gonzo being released first instead of Regular Tux Gonzo, or the crew of Pigs in Space being released before the Swinetrek set with Piggy. Or the placement of Janice in series 5 instead of 4. Good choice, marketing-wise.
I would NEVER survive Statler AND Waldorf being...
The strangest thing happened to me today...
I was walking home from the railroad station, which isn't really a long walk, when a man approached me. I had the feeling I had seen that man somewhere before... And then a woman joined him. I nodded my head and said hi, and they said hi back. Then...
