Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
New Gobo. He has something more mature, more "respectful".
I really like that he started out young in the original series and grew up slowly... first wearing a weird little hat, and then becoming the Gobo we all know and love.
Is anyone here a fan of Moosey Mouse?
Moosey is one of the mice from Muppet Christmas Carol, with a yellow sweater on. He lives above the shop with his parents, and in every episode he has a little adventure of his own, usually unnoticed by Mopatop, Puppyduck, and the customers. He's always...
Hey there Pino!!! Nice meetin' ya! Yes, that Sesame World site is wonderful. Our British pal Warrick made it!!
A real scale Cookie Monster? Where'd you get that from?
My favorite touching moments are:
- "Petals Of A Rose". That song has so much meaning. To me it's a very special song.
- A lot of scenes from the last episodes. Gobo meeting Doc for the first time. The Fraggles listening to Doc's "last message". Doc's sadness over never seeing Gobo...
I do believe that the episodes are uncut, but when exactly did Gobo say that? Was that with Felix the Fearless, or did he show it to Boober and Red? (if it's the latter, it's EDITORAMA, baby!)
I know of:
Brool (?) the Minstrel appeared in a few episodes. In "The Argument" he was a customer who was always arguing and needed an argument. In "Goodbye", he sang in the background.
Beastie (Tosh's pet) appeared in "Goodbye."
The Inkspots appeared in "Dun Dun Dun", "Goodbye"...
How's the collecting going, Dutch and Danish people? So far I have the first four - Kermit, Fozzie, Gonzo and now Piggy. I'm gonna try and pick up Animal and the Swedish Chef tomorrow night!
You'll have to admit that Bill's characters are wonderful additions. With Bill's humour, the Muppets have much more quality.
Although Pepe is getting REALLY old now in my opinion.
Richard always sounds like a great dude to be friends with...! I mean, when you read about the ways he liked to entertain people...
Scooter's my favorite Richard character. Maybe because of all the characters, he's the best singer. Richard really inspired me with his voices...
The McDonalds on the Kalverstraat in Amsterdam is the first McDonalds in my neighbourhood to carry the third figure, Gonzo. (and I know of 7 McDonalds restaurants.)
Two cool things about him. One, he looks exactly like he did in 1976. Two, his nose is bendable. (that's right! I even managed...
Ol' Brown Ears played the banjo in the Linda Ronstadt episode of TMS, accompanying himself in the song "The Cat Came Back". There's photos of this in the book "Of Muppets And Men", and the scene can be found on the '80s Playhouse video "Rowlf's Rhapsodies With the Muppets." A must for Rowlf fans...
For those who are interested here's kinda like what my room looks like...
First of all, posters EVERYWHERE. Mostly from the Miss Piggy poster book. Nowadays I wouldn't dare to tear them out of the book, but I was just a stupid collector back in the days.
I have two large wooden cupboards...
I'd LOVE to be like Kermit and play the banjo... Momentarily I'm a piano man like Rowlf, nothing wrong with that! Speakin' of which, did you know that Rowlf plays the banjo too?
My collection is pretty big... also because there's a lot of Sesame Street stuff in there. I'd love to focus on a few things and leave SS, but I just can't throw em out...
The most impressive is my figures collection. Europe is the continent of PVC's (Comics Spain, Bully, Schleich, etc...)...
Went to the website... That Ronald McDonald walking around a world inhabited by McNuggets with faces really freaked me out. For real.
Anyway the release dates are:
Kermit/Fozzie: 3/1 - 9/1
Gonzo/Piggy: 10/1 - 16/1
Animal/Chef: 17/1 - 23/1
Sam/Rizzo: 24/1 - 30/1
Looks like the...
