Muppet Central "I Love the 80's!"

I still have mine, hehe, and it still works fine, I listened to Green Day on it the other day, lol.

    I Heart the 70s

They also got to perform the Beatles' "Got to Get You Into My Life" in that ill-fated Sgt. Pepper film the Bee Gees got roped into, hehe. I have it on tape. It's fun for kitsch value, hehe.

I Love the 90s MC thread

Bill & Ted rocked, I have seriously watched their movie hundreds of times! I even got sad when Bill thought Ted had died ("Most non triumphant...") I also watched their cartoon show every Saturday! Where we learned that Rufus is his middle name; they don't use first and last names in the future...

    I Heart the 70s

Heavens on Fire's good too! Actually I'd be interested in finding out more about CDs on recycled cardboard! I always feel guilty buying CDs. Which reminds me of that classic '70s pollution PSA with the crying Indian. Did you know he wasn't really an Indian at all? "People start pollution...

    I Heart the 70s

I realize I'm a disgrace to my KISS Army membership here, lol, but I enjoy listening to KISS' "I Was Made for Loving You, Baby" song, lol. That said, I do admit it wasn't quite the same as their earlier hits.

    I Heart the 70s

"And we will live together, until the twelfth of never our voices will ring forever, as one. Come see victory, in the land called fantasy loving life, a new decree, bring your mind to everlasting liberty. Come to see, victory in a land called fantasy, loving life, for you and me, to...

    The RHLC!

Yup, a couple of posts ago I mentioned how Tough Pigs discussed parts of the original script for The Muppet Movie. Apparently the initial scripts had Kermit's main motive for going to Hollywood be fame and fortune, and if he can make people happy, well that's nice too. Obviously later on they...

    I Heart the 70s

Well the thing is, a lot of people resented Disco at the time for being processed and artifical and saturating the radio, pushing standard pop and Rock and Roll out of the way. And I think when we hear Disco now, we're hearing the best of it, not the most extreme forms that people prefer to...

Nice little mention on a person's blog online: "Add into it discovering what an awesome guy Richard Hunt was, too, and how young he died, and it gets a little sad seeing their work. But then they make you smile or laugh again, so it somehow works out okay. I can't figure it out, either, so...

I Heart the 50s... and Lucy...

The idea of the '50s innocence is kinda a stereotype. People were still very intelligent and not completely oblivious to hard core issues. It's more that those hard core issues in life were covered up, both in pop culture and in people's private lives. Rather than deal with problems, they were...

R.I.P Estelle Getty (Sophia on Golden Girls)

Aww, yeah I guess we were expecting this, but it's still sad to hear. She was such a talented woman, her character on Golden Girls was perfect! (And much appreciated, Sophia was one of the few enjoyable Italian characters in pop culture! ;)) Thank you for being a friend! :)

Ok, you guys are going to think I'm crazy but, lol, I was noticing something the other day. In the Of Muppets and Men clip and another clip, you can see Richard sort of randomly picking at the Scooter puppet to make sure there are no random threads sticking out. Lol, the only reason I noticed is...
