    "Beethoven Day" Performance(Sweeeet!)

You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown is an awesome musical! I remember the cartoon version and I own the CD of the most recent Broadway production. I really want to find an album or CD of the original cast. You know I always remember Snoopy talking in the specials so it was never weird to me...

Muppets to appear in Disney Channel TV special

I guess what I mean is, it's not good to assume something will go wrong all the time because you could miss out on a lot. On the other hand, it's not good to assume something will go right all the time because sometimes you need to recognize when things are wrong and work to fix them.

Muppets to appear in Disney Channel TV special

Well I think that's a good point, but from where I'm sitting, pop culture has changed a bit in recent years and become more jaded and shallow and Bling Bling doesn't have great connotations. I've said before, the Muppets always emulated pop culture, but lately pop culture itself has taken a turn...

    Muppet Film and TV References

Actually at the 1986 Academy Awards, Kermit and Scooter presented an Oscar for Best Animated Film, and they refered to themselves as animated characters. So I guess you could give them that label.

Muppets to appear in Disney Channel TV special

Maybe, that would be interesting to know. Now, it's hard to judge a show by its promo because things are always shortened or edited. But I liked Mylie's interaction with the band, for the small moment you see. She obviously wasn't expecting them for the entertainment, but seems to react well...

Muppets to appear in Disney Channel TV special

And btw I love how it seems to be a requirement now for Janice to be voiced by a man, lolol. :flirt: That...was a man right? Cause I would feel silly...yeah...

    The RHLC!

Thanks, yeah it's been really good. It's a lot of improv which isn't my strong point. I wanted to get better at taking chances and being spontaneous. If you don't volunteer for the activities in the class, you pretty much don't get to do anything. The other day the activity was doing 8...

I Love the (00)60's MC Thread

Oh yay, thanks! Yeah I actually tried the joke a couple different ways before clicking reply, lol. Well, judging by the condition of my clothing, I'd be willing to give colourful a try!

I Love the (00)60's MC Thread

Hmm, do you think Percil would make American clothing colorful or colourful? Hehe sorry ;)

Muppets to appear in Disney Channel TV special

Exactly, we're hoping it will be a send up of pop culture, rather than an embrace of it. There's really no way to know until it premieres. I've been very happy to be wrong before in life, lol, so we'll wait and see!

    Favorite Background Animals

Well I'm going to say the penguins, especially when they get thrown in the air, lol. But I'm also partial to the big fluffy sheep in the "Ram a Lamb a Ding Dong" number, hehe.

SST Songs that drive you crazy

I can't remember the song's title but it involved cowboys singing a bizarrely overly complicated song about pronouns. The first time I heard it I thought, "They have got to be kidding! Grown ups would be confused by this, nevermind kids!" Lol No wonder Richard Hunt's puppet walked off at the...

Dear Disney, please re-release all the Muppet movie soundtracks...

It is kinda annoying how only the films of the past couple of years get any real exposure, heh.

    Sesame Street Old School Question

It's more that the show was originally written so it didn't talk down to kids, and thus adults happened to identify with it as well. :)

Any SST Songs Make You Cry?

When I got to meet Bob at Barnes and Noble, he sang "Keep Christmas With You" for the audience at the end of his show. The show really represents my era of Sesame Street and out of nowhere I just started to cry. It was a very moving moment. :)

Muppets to appear in Disney Channel TV special

I have friends who get annoyed at my "purist" view on the Muppets too, lol. They get upset when I won't watch the newer movies, etc. I understand their pov, since they enjoy those movies, but that's just how I feel. And I don't think one's a better fan than another. It's just that we have very...

    The RHLC!

Lol, that's a cute story, and yeah that sense of perfection does ring a bell! I was told by my acting teacher the other day that I have a spot on sense of humor and quirky personality. I have to tell you that felt good! ...and I think they liked me! ;)

    Hey SW - READ ME

Well I will say I think the show has gotten away from its inner city roots and that's a shame, because it's not like the need has gone away.

Muppets to appear in Disney Channel TV special

Agreed, I'm cautiously optimistic. The promo actully did look promising, I liked that Janice talked! I just hope most of the emphasis is on good writing rather than modernizing. In the end, good writing is what keeps people coming back, not attempts at being cool.
