That didn't bother me. You don't have to win the money to have a happy ending. At least that's not what I want kids to learn, lol.
I'll be honest, I probably won't be watching The Muppets too much...
To share a slightly related anecdote, when I was at Comic Con one of the vendors asked me if I was interested in "old or new comics." I said "old, definitely." But when I suggested Transformers or G.I. Joe he said, "Oh, those are new." I was shocked, remember we're talking roughly 1983-1990...
I think technically at least the early '90s could be called Old School at this point. Which is kinda scary, lol.
Personally I didn't grow up with that era of Sesame Street and I have a few problems with it. But at the same time I'm sure people older than me had problems with my generation's...
I agree about the padding out. Jim Carrey does do some fun things as the Grinch but they're almost always undercut by some stupid joke that was likely there to stretch things out.
But mainly I just hate that the creators completely missed (heck, ignored!) the point of the original story. That...

I know I'm in the minority here but I've only seen It's a Wonderful Life once and didn't particularly want to see it again, lol. I love Miracle on 34th Street though! :)
I don't own the Grinch cartoon because I know I'd watch it all the time...
