Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
The movie wasn't by any chance dubbed was it? I kept feeling like they were adding dialogue where it hadn't existed in the animation.
Lol, yeah though I did like the "Random zone!" bit.
But why should something better come along when the Bay movies have made money? When we give them money, we're saying we don't mind settling.
That's why these low quality remakes keep getting made. Audiences keep hoping "well this one has to be better." But it rarely is. It's hype.
It's like...
I've actually been pretty lucky, my parents have never minded my Muppet interest even when I was older. My Mom actually really admired Jim Henson's work. She would even tell me when something Muppet related came on the TV. It also helped that my Dad is a huge fan of Labyrinth, heck he introduced...
And that someone else couldn't possibly do a worse job than Bay. And I'm not just talking about Transformers, I hated Armageddon and Pearl Harbor too. That man is all style and no substance and it's painful. He's part of the reason Hollywood is dying and good riddance! Lol
Point taken, lol...
I didn't think the R&B movie was much like the original either, hehe.
But about Felix, I actually liked Felix as a character in the '80s movie. The plot just didn't really do him justice.
Oh I know they're not all princesses but it's the same old story. Independent free spirited girl wants more. And it was great in the beginning but it really got old. And every time Disney would pretend it was a brand new, creative idea, lol.
What can I say except that I'm the biggest fan Christmas ever had. :halo: The same old store windows I pass everyday are suddenly all decked out and gorgeous. It's like Kermit said "Life would just pass by in a blur if it weren't for times like this." :)
But I also really enjoy Thanksgiving...
Yeah like the Sesame Street toys that have the voices!
Oh another thing, totally random, but I wonder why Hasbro never tried to make a cartoon show out of Hungry Hungry Hippos? Lol
It's the difference between a well balanced script and one that's...yeah not so much, lol.
VMX just managed to save itself with its slightly less dreary ending. Whereas with TM the message of what winning really means just flowed better.
Oh I'm too young for it too. I just found it recently in this really funny review of the 1980 parade:

Well Pocahontas was just too pretentious for me. You can have an environmental message without throwing it in people's faces. Plus the whole "princess wanting more" thing was getting old at that time. Even as a kid I thought "Again??" Lol
Reminds me of this hilariously retro commercial I found the other day, about the old toy store Child World (note it gets a little repetitive because the clip is of all the Child Word ads from the 1980 Thanksgiving parade):
I'd agree more in an ideal world, hehe. But the candidates we get are the ones who had the most money, not necessarily the most qualified. The whole thing is a very problematic and not addressed enough.
It's not that far off from Student of the Month elections where you knew only a select few...
