Always has been my favorite Muppet Christmas special. I love the risks it took with story telling and it really brings back a lot of nostalgia for me. :)
Oh no, actually I was afraid it would come out that way. What I'm saying is Walter's a redundant character because Scooter already filled the role of eager, innocent apprentice to the Muppets.
The only thing we have to face is the concept of balance, lol. You can have the spiritual meaning and still have a good time with the celebratory aspects. I don't think God wants people to be miserable and brooding during his birthday. It's just a question of keeping your priorities straight.
If other people like it, that's great. I just don't see it and I think my kids would benefit more from earlier seasons.
I do see a show that's trying, certainly. But I see a show that's merely bright and bland the way most kid's show are today. ::shrugs:: Agree to disagree. :)
Well for me it's not just the loss of characters, it's the quality of the writing in general. I'm just not sure it's there anymore. And again it's understandable for such a long running show. I don't except SNL to be ground breaking comedy like the way it was in the beginning. Television just...
Yeah I definitely get what you're saying as well. I guess I just don't have the faith that the episode will be as deep as the Hooper episode.
Yeah Fat Albert did a good job. The only thing that bothered me was how all the pressure was on the child to accept the change.
See I don't see those as bad results. They were just human results. We can't always rush in and make sure kids are "all right" 24/7 and never upset. That's not real life. Kids have every right to be angry and upset during a divorce. It seems to me the only people benefiting from kids not...
I always thought they were too hasty in pulling the first attempt at tackling divorce. Did they really expect kids not to get upset? Divorce is an upsetting thing. Kids have to learn to deal with those feelings too.
