Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 44

It doesn't feel like the same character, but I like him for what he is, if that makes sense.

    Unpopular Shows you Love

Oh absolutely. As soon as I wrote that I started thinking of all the spin offs that actually did do well, lol. It certainly can work out. And thankfully the ones that don't tend to be forgotten pretty quickly.

Funny 1978 UK reference to Muppets

Wow yeah, they really liked the Muppets on this show, didn't they? Were they hoping to get a guest star appearance on The Muppet Show I wonder, lol. Yeah I should thank you, after you posted the first clip the other day I decided to check out the first couple episodes of Man About the House...

    TV Tropes

That's a very good point. It's the classic "This is why we can't have nice things." Because some Internet bullies with deep seated psychological issues ruin it for the half way normal people.

    TV Tropes

This is a typical phenomenon where people mistake positive thinking for never being critically minded. Another thing, I read a study once that said people have a tendency to allow their opinions to get wrapped up into their own image of themselves. So if someone challenges your opinions, it...

    Unpopular Shows you Love

You have more patience and loyalty than me then. I can't bare to watch a show that's jumped enough sharks to fill five oceans. It's just too painful. I saw an early episode recently though and it was like a breath of fresh air. :)

You Ever Notice...and What's the Deal...

I haven't seen any signs like that. Are you sure it's not really McDowell's? ;)

    The "You know what?" thread

You're right, they say it both ways in the movie.

The “What did you do today?” thread

    The Broadway Thread

Experiences with "I'll Miss You, Mr. Hooper"

Same here pretty much. I knew Mr. Hooper from the Christmas special every year but I didn't know about his passing until I saw the 20 and Still Counting special. I remember Bill Cosby talking about how the show didn't take the easy way out and just hire a new actor. I later saw the entire...

Funny 1978 UK reference to Muppets

Lol, very groovy, thanks! Btw I've never seen this show before but so far I like it a lot more than I ever liked Three's Company (more my style of humor I guess). ;) Plus I love how public school means something entirely different over there, lol.

    When you need to rant...

Oh I agree the commercialism and secularism aren't entirely bad things. It's just there's been no checks and balances, so to speak.

    When you need to rant...

Christmas gets it from all sides. Commercialism has been corrupting it for decades (Charlie Brown warned us and no one listened!). Meanwhile, Secularism tries to gut it of all meaning in the name of supposed sensitivity.
