Not every female character has to be a great role model. You need characters who have quirks and weaknesses and serve as comic relief. Irma isn't the lead character, she's the goofy friend to the lead (April). This is why there aren't too many interesting female characters, because everyone...

I'm right there with you, lol. I don't care about people's personal lives, no one is perfect. It's about whether I respect them as an artist and I also can't think of too many people around today that get me excited.

Definitely, and I guess that's a testament to how well any characters work, if the audience is so incredibly moved when they are separated like they are in MTM and FTB.
