Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
OK you guys motivated me to do some quick research. I checked out People Magazine's 1981 review of The Great Muppet Caper. Interesting, no?
I also thought this was amusing. Charles Grodin was quoted by the NYTimes in 1981 regarding Caper:
What I love about both these quotes is it shows how...
Actually this reminds me of a surprise I got the other day. I asked a friend (life long Muppet fan) if she wanted to see MMW. And the first thing she said was she wasn't happy Jason Segal was gone, since it was because of him the Muppets had such a big comeback in the first place. I totally get...
Having been through similar conversations, I'd say it's a mixture. You probably do come across a bit too pessimistic and if that's something you want to try and change, that's cool. At the same time, the people you are talking to are likely a bit too optimistic (yes there is such a thing). :p:(
So they're OK except for that one flaw that actually makes them interesting, lol.
Enough said. That's why I don't give an inch about the Elmo's World stuff. I don't think it was helpful to the audience in the long term. The toys made a lot of money for PBS and clearly that's all that mattered...
Note that I said I'd buy the Old School sets for my friend's KIDS. Not my friends. To be frank I would never buy any child anything remotely Elmo's World related. I don't believe it is at all beneficial.
Actually guys, it kinda reminds me of the exercises we would do when I volunteered to work with kids in Drama classes. We handed them a stuffed toy and told them a story about the character. Then we asked them questions like, "How does Fluffy feel about what happened?" Yeah I know it sounds like...
So it's hyperbole. Say you disagree and move on. :)
It is obviously an opinion. People state their opinions as facts every day. Rest assured, it changes nothing, lol. It is simply how human beings speak.
If they continue to block your door, your RA does need to get involved. That is dangerous.
Worrying about being a tattletale is something children do. As you say, you are adults now. :)
The tribute to actors who have passed away was done well. It was very touching seeing Egon up on the screen, probably my favorite part of the evening.
My least favorite part so far was that joke of a "Heroes" segment where they kept showing Man of Steel and pretty much ignored Christopher...
Both parties always seem to keep their moderates in hiding. It's all about being the winner, not what's good for the country. These people are millionaires, no matter what happens to us, they will be fine.
Like I said, this had zero chance of being passed and I doubt they ever thought it would. It's just to keep the base energized (ugh, I hate that buzzword, lol).
