New Sesame Street cast member with nose ring

On a lark, I watched a little Sesame Street today and I was introduced to a new human character I had never seen on the Street before. I believe her name was Lena, but Muppet Wiki doesn't have a listing for this specific character under that name. Anyway, the interesting thing about Lena was...

    Muppet Classic Theater Revisited

That's certainly true of his appearance in "The Boy Who Cried Wolf", but I was referring to the voice used in "The Three Little Pigs"; it's almost an amalgam of Lew Zealand and Featherstone. And getting back to the 'anthology' issue, at the very end of the video Gonzo says "See you next time!"...

    Muppet Classic Theater Revisited

So, I just got done watching Muppet Classic Theater for the first time in about fifteen years; here were my thoughts as I was watching. -This must be one of the first projects where Gonzo wore that horrid plaid blazer. Has he worn that beyond the 90's? -Ah, Gonzo and Rizzo as a team! Easily...

Should we have the Muppet Central Awards this year?

I've been here for eight years and never gotten nominated, so I say no.

Some thoughts on Muppet Treasure Island

Can you explain what you mean by 'Flanderized'? I'm assuming you're referring to the Simpsons character, but I'm having trouble picking up on the context.

    Dad getting surgery (Part II)

My dad is having his gallbladder removed in two weeks. We're a lot more hopeful that there will be no complications, but it's still major surgery all the same, so thoughts and prayers are still appreciated!

    Uh...that's WHAT,Telly?

I was never a big Arthur watcher. However, when I took a Media Cultures class in college, we watched a few of the more 'taboo' episodes.

    Uh...that's WHAT,Telly?

The only other show I remember doing that was Recess (the word was 'whomp').

    Most evil Muppet movie villain?

Well, I think we can count out Darla right off the bat; I swear she's a man in drag. Anyway, something that nobody's mentioned about Doc Hopper is that he's a villain by what he's asking Kermit to do. By being his mascot, Kemit is an unwilling pawn in the extermination of his race. If you...

Abby Cadabby mentioned in "Cinderella Ate My Daughter!"

That may be another reason why Zoe was phased out, because didn't Barney introduce a new dinosaur character that was orange?

Your Thoughts: "The Muppets" Theatrical Film

Sadly, no. I hated everything about this movie; easily the worst film of 2011. And I'm not giving a reason why because no matter how strong my opinions are, they will not be accepted. Therefore, I'm saving myself some aggravation and cruel words and that's all I'll say.

Your Thoughts: "The Muppets" Theatrical Film

    Hated the film.

    Muppet Christmas Carol origin

I meant the gag of Gonzo's nose sticking out from the hood.

    Belated RIP to Patrice O'Neal

I adored Patrice as well and I always appreciated his cameo in the No Day But Today episode you wrote.

    Muppet Christmas Carol origin

Originally, the MCC ghosts were going to be Piggy as Christmas Past, Scooter as Christmas Present (which would have been amazing!), and Gonzo as Christmas Yet to Come (which was only decided on for the incredibly cheap sight gag of his 'beak' poking out from under the hood). Sounds good on...

The Nostalgia Critic Thread Lives Again!

With Carol Burnett in the role of a lifetime: a hatchet-faced prude who kills everyone's buzz. That was a real stretch for her.

    Has Herry been retired?

Besides a few cameos here and there and appearences in series retrospectives, we don't really see much of Herry Monster around the Street anymore. Would it be safe to assume that he's been retired?

Abby Cadabby mentioned in "Cinderella Ate My Daughter!"

I've been reading a great book called "Cinderella Ate My Daughter!" by Peggy Orenstein about how little girls are being desensitized by society and the media. Anyway, there’s a chapter about how most merchandise and children’s show characters are associated with the color pink in one way or...

Did Jim Henson stay in touch with guest stars?

I believe GMC was released in 1981, so it was probably filmed the year before.

    RIP Harry Morgan

I'm a little surprised we haven't heard from Snowthy yet.
