    RIP Frances Bay

By no means a household name, Frances Bay had a long and varied career and is probably best known for her role as Grandma in "Happy Gilmore". She was also very good in the small role of the town doctor's wife in "Arachnophobia" and was also memorable in guest roles on Seinfeld, The Golden Girls...

    The Arch Deluxe

Found it! It's not regional in terms of not being able to find it in certain states, but rather certain stores within your county. It's not the best cereal you'll ever have, but you'll enjoy it if you like the taste of apple-cinnamon.

    Gonzo the Best Man

I just got done re-taking all the MC trivia quizzes and they're just as much fun as they were when I first joined seven years ago! Anyway, one of the questions in the Muppets Take Manhatten quiz was who was Kermit's best man at the wedding and the answer was Gonzo. Now, admittedly MTM is...

    RIP Peter Boyle

Here's a review of a TV pilot that I'm sure Peter didn't list on his resume: "Poochinski", brought to you by The Cinema Snob. (There's some mild adult content, but I think it's do-able):http://thecinemasnob.com/2011/06/21/dvd-r-****-poochinski.aspx

La Choy commercials from the 60's

I just tried La Choy 'just add water' noodles the other day and it was the nastiest thing I've ever tasted!

    Sister Act: The Musical

So, Sister Act: The Musical has been on Broadway for roughly a year now and has been doing moderate business. If you don't get a chance to see it in NY (I'm going to NY for Christmas, but I'm thinking of seeing either Mary Poppins or Lion King), I highly recommend getting the Original London...

    Napolean Dynamite: The Animated Series

If I remember correctly, Daphne Zuniga returned as well.

    Best/Worst songs from Muppet films

I'm surprised there's not much love for Steppin' Out With a Star (from GMC).

    Napolean Dynamite: The Animated Series

Well, I do know that he didn't reprise his role for the Ghostbusters video game; that would qualify as voice acting.

    Napolean Dynamite: The Animated Series

I believe they're bringing back all the original actors from the movie.

    Best/Worst advertising mascots

This is one of the creepiest things I've seen in a long time. :scary:

    Best/Worst songs from Muppet films

Well, that's kinda the point. Piggy's Fantasy is supposed to be an over-the-top pastiche of the Busby Berkely movie musicals.

    The Arch Deluxe

'Pebbles' as in Fruity and Cocoa? I've been looking for the Boulders in my local grocery stores, but can't find it. Maybe it's a regional thing.:smirk:

Plus, Shelley and his friends are having a picnic, so it's full circle.

    "I Get There" appreciation thread

I've recently falen in love with this song. I love the James Taylor-y feel of the music and how hapy Shelley's friends are to see him in the end. Who else loves this great song? http://youtu.be/-DvK-oE8mR0

    Best/Worst advertising mascots

Upon re-visiting this thread, I'm reminded of how much commercials have changed/evolved in three years. So, I'm reviving it to let the new generation of posters (and some golden oldies too) talk about some of the newer commercial mascots.

    Nancy McGeorge

I just saw the Muppets Valentine Special for the first time and noticed a very mysterious performing credit at the end: Nancy McGeorge. I've never heard of this person before and beyond being mentioned by name only on the Muppets Valentine Special page, Muppet Wiki isn't much help. Does...

    RIP Amy Winehouse

And in the same vein, comedians such as Ron White and the late Rodney Dangerfield smoked marijuana because of chronic joint pain. So, while drugs do a lot of harm most of the time, they can be used for good as well.

    RIP Amy Winehouse

I'm glad someone brought this up. Amy can't hold a candle to the people you mentioned, but she clearly had talent of some kind. And I'm not even a fan; I just want to give credit where credit is due.
