"Crash and Bernstein" puppet show debuts on Disney XD

Honestly, I think there is too much thought going into this over the arm rods. Why hide them? It's part of puppetry, no? If you want them to start doing that, then they might as well use a CGI image rather than a puppet in the first place... It's a show about a puppet, why do we have to be...

What would be good for glasses?

You could still use the foam ones, just glue an actual frame behind it. I had seen them at Target made the same way all summer for kids... Try the Dollar Stores as well, I get mine there for a $1.00 each when I need them for a project...

    Mouth plates

I believe for Elmo and Ernie, they actually use wood. Kevin Clash has mentioned this a few times. For Kermit and Fraggles, gasket rubber would be the way to go, but every puppet is different.....

    Lying Muppets

That can be said more times than I can count, for some reason the powers that be always feel the need to fix what isn't broken....Muppets, Star Trek, Godzilla! I almost feel as if they do it so they can feel the idea was truly theirs, like they made up something spectacular and didn't just buy...

    Lying Muppets

Honestly, they own them now, whatever the rules were in the past really wouldn't apply for future projects. Besides, the movies themselves didn't have much of a continuity to begin with, none were really ever tagged as sequels so each one could have it's own set of rules.....

    Lying Muppets

This could have been rules Disney put in place after the merger, I do not believe they had any involvement (or control) in the earlier movies, did they?

    Good place to get foam?

If you have a local Joanns, try there, online you can try Foam Factory and check out the Lux HQ....

    My Fozzie Replica (First Attempt)

    Great job by the way!!!

    My Fozzie Replica (First Attempt)

There is definitely some foam under there, or wire, to keep the body's shape. I would say it was similar to Ernie's?

    "Sheepdog" Fur

Try either Distinctive Fabric or Fabric Empire, both will send you swatches so you can see them for yourself first, I think it is $1.00 a swatch?

    Arm Rods?

I just came across some on Etsy, already bent, for $9.99.....

    Arm Rods?

If you are talking about making the arm rods permanent, meaning they cannot be removed from the hand, then I would guess you would have to slightly alter any arm rods you purchased. Bend the top into an "L" and glue them between two pieces of foam before inserting into the hand...

    Muppet sizes

You may have to just try it by sight, check out Bing for pics of the specific characters next to Kermit or Gonzo and judge the differences between the two...

    Muppet/Puppet Making

Best advice.....take about 3 hours and start searching the forums here. Kermit especially has been touched upon more times than probably any other puppet. You may even find answers to questions you haven't thought of yet! And good luck!

    Two-in-One Award Winning Puppet!

Personally, I think it was a fair price for these guys. Sometimes it takes more than one auction to find the right buyer, try it again with a "make an offer" option. If $500.00 seems too high to a potential buyer, they can then send you an offer to consider.....and good luck!

    Dog Puppet Nose?

I guess it would all depend on what the dogs look like? There are hundreds of options out there from blocks of wood to premade plastic ones from craft sites. I'm guessing each dog will be different, so therefore the noses (sizes) will be as well. Any pics you can post to give a better idea?

How do you make a Hand and Rod or Live-Hand Muppet?

Antron I feel is more comfortable and stretches better than the average fleece, but the new antron does not hide all the seams as well as the older antron did.... You can get some great results from picking at the blizzard fleece as you would the antron. Another solution would be to use the...

How do you make a Hand and Rod or Live-Hand Muppet?

Muppets are still puppets, hot glued parts and arm rods may not be the best choices for children's puppets. I suggest starting out with some blizzard fleece and regular polyfoam sheets from Joanns until you get going. Antron and Reticulated Foam are much too expensive to use for "testing" your...

How do you make a Hand and Rod or Live-Hand Muppet?

I would suggest maybe heading over to Project Puppet, they sell basic patterns you can download, and all come with hints and instructions.....thanks

Materials for a Rowlf Replica Puppet's Nose?

I read the nose on the actual puppet was made of wood, it was either then painted or dipped in rubber....
