This same subject has been touched on more times than not, technically someone cannot sell a puppet as "Kermit", "Elmo", or "Scooter", replica or not. But having one made or making one for yourself won't send Disney to your door. :)

Depending on what type of material you're using, I've heard mention of velcro, or even thin magnets under the skin. Never tried it myself though.....

I actually did make it flat and then glue it to a doll joint that I attached into the head of the puppet.

Did you try an eBay search under life-size or props? Honestly, I'm not sure there is a "set" value for things of this nature. You could start the bidding at $400.00 and see where it goes, or if you have a set price in mind, do them as a buy it now with a best offer option and see what people are...

Personally, I liked all the imperfections of the Muppet Show and the original Muppet Movie, rods and arm sleeves are all part of it.
