I finally got my copy today. (That's what I get for being cheap and getting free shipping from Amazon) and I loved it. Unlike others, I've never bought a SS DVD before, so this was my first time seeing most of these clips.
I've only watched the first disk so far, but my only complaint was that...
If we're talking about bad changes, I really feel the need to bring up that "around the corner" idea they had. I'm just grateful they realized how dumb it was and got rid of it. But that was four seasons too long.

There's the link for anyone who...
Yeah, the journalist isn't exactly quoting right. If you look at Muppet Central's review:
"Bob, a familiar animated character, introduces each episode. He mentions in his introduction to the first episode that this set is meant for adults and may not suit the needs of today’s preschooler. This...
Yep, they "ahem" is indeed in there. Here's a link to the article: http://community.tvguide.com/thread.jspa?threadID=700010392
Sounds like the writer of the article just has an attitude problem.
Also, the 6th is the official air date of the new episodes, but obviously there are some...
That DVD box art was very misleading. They really should have picked something else because, as others have said, that was a lot more intense than I thought it would be.
I really liked it though. I've always been interested in the international versions. It was great to see behind the scenes...
Just checked TV Guide.com, and the final five episodes of season 37 will air starting on November 6th! Just like the start of the season, new episodes will be airing Monday-Friday, (I can only get the listings to go to the 9th, but I think it's safe to assume that the season finale will air on...
I'm not getting excited until I'm sure this is being done right. The Fraggles have been off the air for a LOOOONG time. To me, that just means they'll be more things that can go wrong.
Plus I'm a big believer in ending on a high note, which is the series did. I'm worried a movie might ruin...
Well when you only have 26 episodes in a season you're going to get a lot of repeats. There's nothing anyone can do about it unless someone wants to give SW a big pile of cash so we can have 100 something episodes a season again.
The only thing that bothers me about remakes is that we never hear the originals anymore! When when the last time we had Ernie sing "Rubber Dukie", or Cookie sing "C is for Cookie"? Kids today probably don't even realize Cookie has his own song.
I always figured they'd get together. Here's the way I see it:
Gabi and Miles fall in love and get married.
Gabi inherits the Fix it Shop when Maria and Luis retire.
Gabi hires someone to help her since Miles will most likely have another career.
Eventually they have a baby.
At the very...
I agree with everyone else. Dull, dull, dull. Not even worth commenting on. Not the best episodes to air before a hiatus. At least the last few episodes of the season look good. But November seems very far away....
Hey Stupid!
That cracks me up every time. :)
Finally people can see that Kermit and the pilot are on the set. I still don't get why people were worried in the first place. If Kermit has been on other Sesame Street DVDs, he'd be on this one.
And yet Kermit was on the Friends to the Rescue DVD that I posted about earlier in this thread.
I don't get why everyone is worried. Kermit will be on there, as well as the first episode and the pilot.
The rest of the season sounds great. Not only do we get more Big Bird, but a Big Bird and Snuffy focus! Plus, we FINALLY see Abby again. I'm really looking forward to the adoption episodes. However...
Like BEAR said, why is Big Bird included in that list?! Can't he just not be there when the...
Wow, lots of Prairie Dawn yesterday! That should appease some fans. It's nice to see her doing more than the letter of the day.
A good street story, though I didn't like the focus on Elmo near the end. Things would have been fine if he didn't get focused on. First of all it was great to see...
Pardon the Interruption is a sports debate show on ESPN. While I was channel surfing I noticed a Chicken Dance Elmo in the background of the set. I have no clue why, maybe because they do the chicken dance at baseball games?
Here's a clip. Wait for the site to load, hit play video, and keep an...
I don't see why he wouldn't. I heard SW has the rights to the old Kermit clips, but they have to have Disney's permission for him to be in anything new. He was in the "Friends to the Rescue" DVD that came out last year, so there shouldn't be any problem.
Checking Muppet Wiki, it appears that he died in Season 15 (1983-1984). His death episode was 1839, while the season started with episode 1836. It doesn't look like he was in 1836, (maybe someone who saw the episode on Noggin can confirm), so that leaves two episodes he could have been in.
