What do you think of Abby Caddaby so far?

Abby Cadabby is neat, even though I admit she's starting to be over-exposed. At first I thought they were going to incorporate her into each street scene, but I'm glad to know it's mostly segments. But I still hope she doesn't become another Elmo!

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 38

Another "stereotype" skit I know was from maybe the 1970s or 1980s, where it has a modern-day Native American boy telling two kids playing a game of Cowboys and Indians that "Indians don't talk like that!"

Old School Volume 2 coming this fall

I'm betting the Sesame Street News Flash with Jack and Jill is going to be on this set; since it was probably the first one to feature the standard version of the News Flash logo and Kermit wearing his gray hat (instead of the brown one), from 1974 (Season 6). But I DO know the Humpty Dumpty one...

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 38

As part of the grammar/reading thing, they could show the News Flash about the London Fog! I believe it's from 1988, unless this would offend British viewers

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 38

It was nice to see a Kermit skit re-run this season, even though it had Steve Whitmire performing him. They also had a copyright notice to the Muppets Holding Company in the end credits, so maybe we might see a few more Kermit sketches this eason :) It's also nice to see Rosita and Prairie...

    Sesame's Replacement Puppeteers

Yeah. When Big Bird's beak does not match up with his dialogue it most likely appears to be Matt Vogel in the puppet and Caroll Spinney providing the voice. But I think Caroll Spinney still performs Oscar exclusively. Also, I think Eric Jacobson would be a good performer to recast some of...

    Classic Sesame Clips on YouTube

Whew, at least I saved the 1971 "Three Little Pigs" News Flash before it got deleted. Maybe because of the high quality of the master it was used, SesameWorkshop could either rerun it or give it a proper uncut DVD release!

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 38

It was nice to see Big Bird heavily involved with the street story. And I loved seeing "Imagine That" again! But I noticed something... is it just me, or is the Fix-It Shop being featured more than ever? It could be because it was temporarily the Mail-It Shop from 2002 to 2005.

Muppet Night at my local ball park!

OK, so tonight I went over to a baseball game at the nearby minor-league baseball stadium (the team is the Brockton Rox). As one of the themes for this night's Family Fun Night, it was MUPPET NIGHT! During intervals after an in-game promotion and before an inning (or half-inning) started...

This one I can understand you being scared of. It was most likely that Fat Blue spider. I heard a lot of people on this forum were unnerved by the Fat Blue spider in that skit or the one on the Miss Muffet play. But this one had an Animal-type voice that made him more threatening :p I can...

Am I the only one who didn't like the Calypso Theme Song?

OK, OK, I'm sorry. I just wasn't too thrilled about when the show tried to be "cool" and "hip" during that era.

Am I the only one who didn't like the Calypso Theme Song?

No, if it were 1997, we'd all be complaining about "Around the Corner" as much as we complain about the new post-2002 format. :p

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 38

I usually kind of sleep late here, since I am on summer vacation. Hence, I watch (and record) the 10 AM version. I don't go back to school (it's a community college) until September.

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 38

Where I live, the new episodes don't premiere until 10:00 AM (I live in the Boston, Massachusetts area and get PBS Channel 2). But it sounds like they finally did a Number of the Day that wasn't one of those 2002 organ clips; but at least they still had the Count (these 2006 Number of the Day...

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 38

The magic of Anything Muppets (or AMs for short) made Howie EatSwell look like the real Howie. He was made out of the Pumpkin Live Hand-type of AM.

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 38

The "school" lesson near the end (Professor Grover, "Elmo's World") had nothing to do with the rest of the episode. Since the street scenes had Telly playing with a toy train, they could've shown the "Elmo's World" segment about transportation. That had a short film with the boy and his mom...

    Classic Sesame Clips on YouTube

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wY4AKbAV2aw This has probably been posted before, but am I the only one who noticed something about this skit? The car crashing sound near the end is the same one used on the "Leader of the Pack" by Shangri-Las!

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 38

Um, that was a rerun of a late-1990s/early-2000s skit. But it could lead to a future appearance of our favorite strong unibrowed monster!
  19. wiley207

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 38

I loved today's episode! They must be slowly returning to the old format and will only show "Elmo's World" at random. But I loved seeing the "Beginning, Middle and End" sketch! It must've been the only pre-1992 segment to be shown this season so far. But there probably will be more as this...

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 38

This was a good episode, despite the reruns. But it looks like for after "Elmo's World," they're going to alternate between Trash Gordon and different bedtime stories for Slimey (and now Sloppy.) And there was STILL no Big Bird here! I mean, Caroll Spinney can still perform Oscar, so why not Big...
