The nightmare has come true...
(insert "Mysterious Theater" theme here or the creepy synth music from the 1969 "Rock hunting" skit)

It's not as cheesy or corny as the Calypso opening, but there might be a video of it on Youtube soon...
The new opening wasn't that great, but at least it wasn't cheesy like the 1992 Calypso opening! And I thought it was clever to have the episode number appear on a street sign next to the SS sign. The pigeon from the 1992 closing sequence also made a cameo in it (right before we see Ernie and...
Yesterday at my college they were upgrading the fire alarms in one of the buildings, and that got me thinking... I've noticed "Sesame Street" has never done a fire drill segment AT ALL. I mean "Arthur" did one, and... I don't know any other shows that did so.
Maybe Baby Bear or Abby Cadabby...
I'm sure some of you know that back in 1959, Ross Bagdasarian (a.k.a. David Seville) performed "The Chipmunk Song" with puppet versions of the Chipmunks created by Bob Clampett. With this fanfic, this is what it'd be like if the Jim Henson Company took a stab at doing their own version of "The...
Sawing14s is going to set all his videos on Private, I heard. But I am friends with him on Youtube. I will PM him about seeing if I can view the videos since I am a member of Youtube myself.
As a tie-in to my "Sesame Street Horror Special," I made a little video clip that will only be on Youtube for a short time (I might remove it by the end of August, then move it to Google Video). It is a parody of the Muppet Babies episode "Is There a Muppet in the House?" and the movie Rowlf...
At long last! An update to my Muppet tale of terror. For those of you who are just joining in, I will recap the previous parts.
In this "Mysterious Theater" installment hosted by Vincent Twice, Herry Monster was watching a scary movie with his friends Big Bird, Elmo, Grover and Telly when he...
I'd hate to revive a year-old thread and I'd hate to correct this, but Vincent Twice VERY RARELY repeated everything he said. Mostly it'd be his name and at the end of the skit with him stealing the toast and roast (he isn't in his usual armchair in this ending here), he wishes the audience...
Yep. The scene with the clock getting destroyed reminds me of the Inspector Gadget episode "The Coo-Coo Clock Caper." I wonder if the people at DiC saw that News Flash skit? :zany:
When they said it's going to be the last season taped on that set, that might mean that after this season they will probably switch studio facilities. A similar thing happened in 1992. That's why they added that crazy calypso theme.
I'm sure many of you heard of a really scary "Sesame Street" episode from 1976 (episode 847) that had the Wicked Witch of the West in it (played by Margaret Hamilton). It was SO scary, CTW had to ban it after its initial airing! I wonder if they showed any of the scary "monster" skits or...
Again, I still hope that the opening theme isn't going to be a drastic change as that "Calypso" theme was. :attitude: But I'm glad they are going to do a new closing sequence.
And I think Season 39 might actually just be switching studios, like in 1992. That's why we got that crazy new...
That's because the Muppet Babies walk-around costumes for that show were designed by the Jim Henson Company! The others resemble how they appeared in "I'm Gonna Always Love You" in "The Muppets Take Manhattan," as well as on "A Muppet Family Christmas."
Also, starting with Season 30 (1998) when they began re-making the classic Sesame Street theme and introduced "Elmo's World," the full closing credits would also appear on the season premiere episode. This was done until 2003. I also hope they stop using that 1992 calypso-style music that is...
All the Muppet Babies Video Storybooks featured live puppet footage with Kermit (appropriately performed by Jim Henson) reading and narrating the stories, which were illustrations taken from the books with some partial computer FX added. The stories were also scored with actual Muppet Babies...
I agree that the 1992 credits theme is now somewhat outdated. And I know that when they changed the opening sequence and theme music in 1998 (they did a classic-style intro with Big Bird and the kids playing in Central Park) and added "Elmo's World", they kept using the same 1992 closing, but it...
