Linda showed up? Where?
Oh, and please remember that my rundowns are best-guess estimations in the case that it's a visual segment, which as you know I'm not the best at detecting the subtleties thereof.

But I hope these rundowns are of some use until they are presented in complete corrected form at Muppet Wiki.

that didn't stop him from showing up in the "Number of the Day" segment. I'm glad they made a new one of those though. It's just too bad they had to stop at 2. I wonder what would have happened if it would have went on longer. I guess that would have been a bit boring with a bunch of sheep before they got to the elephant. Still, they're coming up with new ideas for these, so that's a start.
Actually I believe these are from three years ago which would have been season 35.

Who voices the CGI Twiddlebugs? It sounds like they are voiced by Muppeteers with the voices speeded-up. One member said it sounded like the father was now voiced by Jerry Nelson!

And the "What is Friend?" song was actually the filmed footage of kids version, not the original version.
Yeah, ironically there are three different versions of the "What is Friend" song, the first two with puppets and the third is the film version seen today.

Elmo's dinosaur heartbreak

Did I miss something? Maybe I misunderstood what happened.

It looked to me like Elmo really did think Snuffy was a dinosaur. I know Elmo shouldn't be that stupid, but from the way it was played I got the impression he was actually fooled by Snuffy's lame disguise.

So when he wanders off with the "Snufflasaurus," for me the story isn't over. Sooner or later Snuffy's going to go home, and Elmo will lose his dinosaur pet. What happens then? Emotional disaster, that's what. Intense disappointment and feelings of betrayal. But we're not supposed to think about that?

This segment is tolerable only if Elmo is in on the play-acting and knows it's just pretend. But watching Elmo's face and body language and listening to his voice, it sure seemed to me like he was fooled. Did anyone else think that?

It was cool to see "Things That I Remember". I count it as classic since Jeff Moss wrote it and it has Frank Oz's Bert. "American Monster Classics" was also pretty cool. The ending where Cookie Monster eats the sign and then his tie was reminiscent on how he'd eat his pipe at the end of the old "Monsterpiece Theater" skits. BTW, how old was that "That's Not Homer" skit? It sounded like Jerry Nelson as the little boy, and they used an Anything Muppet for the rabbit, so I'm guessing the late 1980s to the mid 1990s.

I had the impression that Elmo was really happy that Snuffy would have done something like this for him. I do consider it his imagination, and it was a mutual thing. Elmo was just really touched a friend would do that for him, and Snuffy was happy to grant Elmo's wish, even if it wasn't real.

Also, in the original version, Cookie Monster and his friend talk before and after the song. I don't think this dialogue is in the filmed version (it's been so long since I've seen it), but it would be awkward for two voice-overs to have a conversation over film footage before a song starts (though there have been films where characters had conversations in voice-over).

I thought about that too. Elmo sure needs his head examined if he had thought the 'Snufflesaur' really was a dinosaur. I was thinking they'd go on with the story and show whether Elmo knew what was going on or not, but I guess the writers didn't think of that. Maybe Elmo will go home all disappointed that his 'pet' didn't go with him, but by the next episode he should be better. Considering how poorly the writers are with keeping continuity, everyone will probably forget the whole thing. Lol.

You mean the new Number of the Day segment? Are you sure? I know they started in season 33 with the Count at his organ? Then in either season 34 or 35, he was singing to his girlfriend. Then I believe in season 36 they started not airing that segment in every ep, but when they did they did a few Muppet/kid moments with the Count. But I don't recall seeing the tap dancing elephant concept anywhere. Maybe I'm wrong. I might have just missed it a few times. If they were recycled from earlier seasons, they probably haven't made too many of those.
