I can't help but love that a thread which started out with the title, "Something that Supermuppet might post" and created by our greatest thread killer is currantly on page 76 and still talking about Chipmunks...Add that to the often chipmunk related Pigs Sing The Happy Wonderer and we havce some truely classic threads...Like I said, gotta love it!

No wonder TKO was cancelled...

I didn't know creator Ross Bagdasarian penned the Rosemary Clooney classic "Come on-a My House" and the Chipmunks' hit "Witch Doctor" too!
Oh yeah. Believe it or not, Ross Sr. and another Armenian-American song-writer wrote it, and were the firsts to sing it long before Rosemary Clooney...

This song was also considered too "risque" and controversial at the time it was written, which is one of the reasons Rosemary Clooney wasn't too thrilled about covering.

Well, this WAS the kind of thread you'd expect from SuperMuppet/jacob/whoever else he may be... but 76 pages? So far, we've only got 58...

And I digress; Vic Romano was the greatest thread killer ever: CHIEF thread killer for three years, and then being promoted to Vice President of the 3976th 1/2, meanwhile I was FIRED.

The thing I liked about the film was that it really was a parallel to the real Dave Seville. He WAS a struggling song writer, and it did take squeaky voiced singing to put him on the map. I refer to the pre-Chipmunks Witch Doctor, which lead to Christmas, Don't be Late and the introduction of the Munks.

I still wonder where Clyde Crashcup fits into the equation. Did "Dave" create him, or was it an idea from someone behind the cartoon series?

Oh... and if the DVD "set" doesn't feature the episode where Alvin ruins the Wax sculpture of Dave, and thinks that he suffereed trauma.... epic fail.

I think all the characters on that cartoon were created by him to give Dave and The Chipmunks other people to interact with, like Stanley the Eagle, Mrs. Frumpington, and the annoying little detective Sam Valiant, Private Nose (who was also voiced by Ross Sr. as well).

Ahhh....it's 74 pages to me, but I've set it to display fewer posts per page I think than some people. Hence confusion.

That's the weirdest thing, mine is on 77 pages. I'd check my setting, but I just don't care enough.

Actually...it's 77 for me...But by the time I got to the bottom of the page I couldn't be bothered to go back up and remember exactly what number of 70 it was on so stuck a 4 on there, thinking that's what it was before....but before I said 76 but my post started page 77 so it was all a mute point anyways.
