My grade school was like that only with swearing...and I learned about 'those things' very early, one of the books I would look at a lot when I was little was about how babies grew inside the mother and such, it was made for mommies to be...My elementary school was like something out of Mayberry... nobody would swear, there were no fights, kids didn't know what sex was, or things like that (boys were still boys, girls were still girls).
Once I got into middle school, and I had to attend school in the ghetto for three years, there were fights and swearing everyday, and I was taught all about sex in seventh grade health class. Yeah, they teach you that stuff in school now.
And then I lived next to my grandma and grandpa's farm, and we had like 12 cats, so I learned the circle of life first hand...
I think because I knew all the details from when I was so young, that was a big reason why I never went crazy and 'must tie up boy and drag into shadowy spot behind the gym' all though jr. high and high school . Of course, I have never bought into peer pressure or the media anyway
But back on topic...
I hope they somehow finally get boxsets of the 80's series .
I forget if they ever put out that one X-mas special on DVD yet, the one about the golden harmonica?
..Nevermind : )
